Surgery Yesterday
Day of my surgery I asked myself why I did this to myself and asked my husband why he let me do it. But I had terrible pain and could not get it under control for the first week. I was also in the hospital for 4 days due to my oxygen dropping and having to be on oxygen. Now I look back and couldnt imagine not having it done. It is 100% worth it! You will get better!

I can't tell you that you won't regret it because that is an individual thing. I can tell you that for alot of people, the first week or so are really tough. The best answer is to walk and drink as much as you can and that should help things to improve
Hang in there and take it one day at a time.

You're doubts are quite common. It gets better. A lot better but the first week is pretty tough.
Ive named this initial post-surgery feeling of regret the "WTF did I do to myself?" phase. The vast majority of us end up very happy with the choice.
Hang in there. Get your liquids in. Walk. Repeat.
I had an easy go of it and I still doubted my choice a few times over the first couple of weeks. After the pain was gone, I felt like I was just losing weight because of the soft/liquid diet. I couldn't really feel any restriction (because my nerves were cut!) so I thought it wasn't REALLY working. Then I hit the THREE WEEK STALL and even though I KNEW it was coming it still felt like proof that the WLS wasn't going to work for me.
I'm only out about 11 months but I'm so very thankful! Best choice I've ever made.

You just had a major surgery and that is hard. On your body & on your mind. Remember even if you had the laparoscopic surgery and the cuts you can see outside are small, the cuts that you have inside are the same size as someone whose surgery was open. It hurts.
I'm glad you're home. That's always the best place to be. Try to keep walking and sipping and remind yourself that every day you get through is a day closer to feeling so much better.
You'll be fine. Actually you already are. Your body is doing what it has to do to heal, and sometimes that includes some pain. IF it gets unbearable and your pain meds don't control make sure to call your surgeon.
It will be ok.
