Afternoon all! Valentine's day is low keyvthis year since it is on a weekday and church night. So dinner at home and will give hubby a card and chocholate, maybe some cologne. Haven't even shopped for it yet. We've been moved to the lake for 2 years and still forget I just can't pop out to the store.

Last night at book study, ate a bakery cookie, and I'm making that distinction that it was a bakery cookie cuz it was huge. Rats.

B hot tea with half and half, baked ham, 2 peanut butter crackers

Ms skinny hot chocolate

L salad, boiled eggs, slivered almonds

As skinny hot chocolate

D tbd

QOTD same as most folks, ok during grade school and maybe high school but not in college.

Have a great afternoon!

Afternoon!

I never had time to come in and chat when I got to work this morning. We have a lull in patients right now so I have a second :)

My husband has a supplier that comes in town every month for his job and he always takes us out to dinner while he is here. This month's visit happens to fall tomorrow so he's taking us out for Valentines day. lol! We typically go to the pub every Wednesday for trivia and dinner, so we will probably end up at the pub as well. I got us a set of the silicone wedding bands in Michigan Maize color (Hubby's favorite). He wears them for work and my rings have gotten too big but I don't want to have them resized yet so this was a good compromise. I found a place that "engraves" them so I put our anniversary on them. Otherwise that's about the extent of our Valentine's day.

QOTD: I was probably the one asking for answers. I was a terrible student. Just did what I could do get through school. How I gave birth to 2 super smart kids I have no clue. I haven't been able to help them with homework since 6th grade I think. I am a fairly intelligent person as an adult..but as a kid..going out with my friends and working was MUCH more important.

How long are you considered in the losing stage vs. maintenance? Just asking out of curiosity. And I've finally decided I need to be diligent with my meal tracking on an app and when you all talk about keeping your carbs under a certain number is that overall carbs or net carbs? Thanks!

B: Premier Protein Drink, Chocolate

L: Blackened tilapia and I had maybe 3 tablespoon bites out of a baked potato.

S: babybell light cheese

D: Porkchop dinner in the crockpot. I'll saute some zucchini as well if I have time before scouts.

Maintenance for most of us is when we feel we've reached our personal goal weight. I considered myself in maintenance when I hit 125, but lost another 10 over the next 2-3 months while I was figuring out how many calories my body needed to maintain.

Thanks for replying..I just wondered when people considered themselves at maintenance. I haven't even thought about what my personal weight should/can be yet. The dr I work for told me I was looking petite today I've never been told that in my life. lol!

I think some people start with their Drs goal weight (my doctors was 140 for me, the top of normal BMI). I chose 125 because that was the lowest I had been as an adult a couple of times (for an instant) after a diet. Some people pick what they feel is a good goal (doctor suggested or otherwise), then revise it later. It really is all about when you feel you are at a healthy, maintainable point.

Hello All!

Valentine's will be on my own this year as my husband is taking his mother to her second pre-op class for the sleeve. I am planning on stopping at a local family owned market to get a crab cake for dinner.
