Good morning menu peeps! We finally thawed out enough yesterday afternoon that Lily and I were able to get a good walk in with no ice skating. We'll walk our 4 miles for today as soon as it's a bit more light out so I can see if there has been refreeze anywhere. I'll also do another mile after supper before knitting club. Food was different yesterday as son took us out for supper so I had 2 scrambled eggs and 2 strips bacon instead. No extra bites though. We don't really do anything special for Valentine's day since we don't have much disposable income with hubby retired. I do have a card for him though. QOTD I didn't ever share answers on tests in school. That's what happens when you're a rule follower AND a teacher's kid! Post op 5 years 5.5 months and weight at 118.6 today. Heres the food for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 1 c chili with cheese D 4 oz burger patty 1/2 c green beans S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices. You deserve to be your very best self!

Happy anniversary Daisy and JB. That is exciting that this week has double romantic meaning for you. Enjoy your celebrations.

Today is my last day in the office for 6+ weeks. I am trying to get things organized and cleared off my desk. I hope to telework some of the time while I'm off so I don't have to use up all of my leave, but I know that I need to relax and take good care of myself too.

QOTD: I did alot of tutoring throughout school to help people learn, but I never helped someone on a test.

Menu:

Breakfast: scrambled egg, chicken, oatmeal

Snack: Ice tea protein shake, almonds

Lunch: fish, salad

Snack: cheddar cheese, apple, almonds

Dinner: BBQ chicken, broccoli slaw, blueberries

Good morning! Luckily Valentines Day is not a surprise for me. We have a dinner/dance at the clubhouse and I got DH some dark chocolates and a card. I send my kids electronic cards these days.

We did some further training on dog walking and I'm already falling in love. I walked 5 yesterday. We will be going back again sometime in the next few days.

QOTD: Interesting question. I think I must have helped a couple of times in early grades, but I was in advanced classes in high school and it was very competitive, so I didn't by that point and definitely not in college.

1 year, 10.5 months post-op

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Fish of some sort (out to lunch)

D: Meatballs and mozzarella sticks

S: Cottage cheese and/or yogurt

hi all- we are surviving- water pro came out and gave us a crazy estimate to do work, the main guy took pity on me and when his guys were out of earshot told us what to do for the downstairs since insurance was not covering foundation issues and we were out of pocket on costs. Even told me the names of the spray to use to remediate everything. so last night we pulled almost all the carpet and all the vintage parquet wood floor in the kitchen. then we have to remove 4 feet of sheetrock and insulation then can treat- oh forgot the part where we have to remove the lower cabinets from the wall in the kitchen and remove that sheetrock also.

then we wait until friday for the insurance to come to see if they will cover the roof damage. If that is the case, i should get a new bathroom vanity, flooring and sheetrock.

My arms are jello today after pulling carpet and tossing it so didn't get in my actual workout like i usually do- plus my entire house is a hot mess right now. can't even lay out yoga mat.

QOTD: hmmm I think when I was younger I would help but less likely now.

Valentines we are going to a seafood restaurant in our new town. Blackened seafood, she crab soup, etc.

Food went fairly well, did have a chobani smooth last night with egg white chaser and that had a bit more sugar than I would have liked but really wanted a yogurt.

Food plan for today:

pork that I cooked

dinner will be stuffed chicken breast or turkey meatballs

coffee

coffee

maybe prot pancakes

Sounds like you are doing well, considering! We have had two crazy water incidents that I will not get into, I feel your pain and you are on the right path to getting things back to normal. are you running any dehumidifiers to help rid of moisture?
