Whatâ??s on your Sunday Menu RNYers?
I met a couple last week who winter here in Florida from October-March and leave their multiple cats at home. Someone comes in daily to feed, clean boxes and put seeds into the outdoor bird feeders. They said their cats wouldn't do well traveling or living in a different house.

we have some who don't get along, so we have to "timeshare" our house. Our two guest rooms are cat bedrooms - so while some are in their bedrooms, others have the run of the house - and vice versa. When my father died last April (so we were both gone for a few days...), we boarded one at the vet's (because on top of intercat conflicts, he needs daily meds), and one stayed with a friend of mine. I think we had the other four at home, so a friend of mine came by every night to check up on them. We could certainly do that again...(in fact, we'd have to do that). I'm a little worried about leaving Ruthie, though - she's 19 years old and has some health issues, but I suppose she could be one of those cats who ends up living until age 22! I think once she passes, though, I'll feel more comfortable leaving for more than a long weekend. Although we'll still have to farm out a couple of them because of the fighting. Some of the fighting is pretty minor - just hissing and swatting and then they walk away from each other - but we have a couple whom I'm afraid would kill each other!
It is tough when our pets are elderly. I still miss Duchess and wish I was there when she had her last days and I miss Chiquita! Thank goodness for family that will live at our house with her.

P.S. if it weren't for the fighting, I could hire a vet tech to come in every day since he/she could also do the meds (I'd hate to ask a friend to do that), but as long as we have our two extreme enemies with us, we'll have to farm out one or both. Plus six is a lot for a friend to look after. Two or three is more reasonable. At any rate, at some point, this won't be an issue...
Have you tried anti-anxiety hormones ( you plug it in) .. they REALLY work for anxious even chronically marking cats.
Give each bedroom one and one in the main house . I suspect your two batches of cats are constantly trying to dominate and compete with each other . Another solution is to put them all on leashes /harnesses and ( holding them ) allow to occupy the same space day after day for hours . ( after you?ve cut their claws so they cant seriously injure each other ) Till they get bored with the displays .Most importantly distract the whole bunch with amazing toys ... fishing lines with mice .. so forth. Tire em out . When cats play together they forget their differences.
Feed them all together. Pet all of them.. together . And are they spayed ? If not why? Spayed cats are a lot more reasonable about sharing.

QOD: B&B in historical/vintage homes. DH wanted to own Victorian style home (lol) so I keep his dream alive by taking weekend trips to B&B's. We were at one in Palestine TX recently. King bed and claw foot tub! Loved the antiques.
Accountability: doing well on portion sizes.
B: home made protein waffle! Found recipe online. It made one smaller waffle. I could only eat 1/4 of waffle with SF syrup and sf fudge drizzle with one sliced strawberry. Delicious and filling
S. Premier protein chocolate drink
L sirloin with green beans and 1/4 peach
S protein chips (1/4 bag)
D. Cottage cheese with canned fruit (have to drive back to apt for work)
Keeping hydrated with protein water and hot tea along with diet crangrape juice
Nice! I love B&Bs too.
