Whatâ??s on your Sunday Menu RNYers?
Morning!! Have fun in Vegas! When we went, I think two of my favorite things were going to Red Rock Canyon and the Hoover Damn.
Yeaterday I ended up in bed all afternoon evening. I had some pretty intense muscle pain- concentrated in my thighs. The whole deal left me feeling a tad melancholy. Legs feel a bit better, but still ache.- I will not run today- it's raining anyway, but I will go to the gym for a simple workout. I need to do all the cleaning I was supposed to do yesterday today. And cook a home cooked meal for my family.
accountability: ok, not bad, not picture perfect.

I just read your post about your feet. Do you think you might have changed your running gait a bit to compensate for the wrapped toes? Just a thought - when I used to run any change in my form would sometimes have unexpected consequences.

How exciting about Vegas! The Backstreet Boys are performing there and I'd have to see them if I went :P they were my teeny-bopper crushes.
qotd: for quick weekend getaways we like going to Kansas City. Our last trip, we went thrifting then visited a mall that had a huge Crayola store.

A weekend away anywhere is divine. Beach sounds good. If you are staying in a hotel it's a vacation. Lately Ive been enjoying my trips to NYC for basically what I call urban hiking walk 8-12 Miles window shopping or whatever and stopping at a lot of Starbucks to refuel. Ha.
I laughed at your list of snacks I've always told my trainer if he's traveling and gets stuck in a disaster or on a plane or something he should hope he's next to a WLS Patient they will have more food/snacks than needed for a trip to Gilligan's Island LOLOL

Mornin'!
DH and I were going to go out for coffee this morning and then I was going to head over to my meditation class, but it snowed overnight. Poop. I'll still go to meditation, but no coffee out this morning - we need to shovel. Then we have our hair cut this afternoon (we have back-to-back appts at the same place), then grocery shopping, then yoga. I need to make chili sometime today for lunches this week - so maybe tonight in my Instant Pot. Where do the weekends go? At least the first couple of days of the coming week will be easy-peasy at work (not so the end of the week - but I won't start thinking about that yet!)
Accountability: it was fine until DH suggested we go to a movie last night. The movie wbas fine - the popcorn wasn't. I ate about a third of a large bag. Calories for the day were through the roof because of it. :-(
QOTD: We don't get away much together anymore because of all of our cats (a couple of whom need daily meds) and because I'm still spooked after having our house burglarized c. 5 years ago (it took a couple of years before DH could coax me to leave town with him for a weekend), but we do enjoy going to Chicago a few times a year for a weekend getaway. It's only a couple hours away, so it's perfect for a weekend vacation. I used to really enjoy traveling, though. Maybe in the future when we have fewer cats, we can hire a housesitter and go on some longer vacations.
