What are you using to track your meals? no short forms please, I realize I'm going to need to use something to get accurate amounts.

^^^THIS!!!!
I think most of assume that maintenance is when we get to add back some calories but I am finding it's the opposite. I have to be even more tightly controlled and vigilant the less I weigh. Plus I don't have the added benefit of malabsorption anymore.
I know you aren't declaring maintenance yet, but it's the same idea. Your "honeymoon" period is winding down, and it's time reevaluate your carbs and calories and start playing around with new macros to keep the scale moving in the right direction.

Right?
I call this the "dirty little secret" of massive weight loss. I am absolutely convinced this is why so many people regain or choose not to reach a "normal" BMI.
For many, a higher BMI with a more lax maintenance diet is worth the trade-off. That's very individual.

When I first started losing, I could drop weight pretty well on 4,000 calories per day! Of course, I would have stopped losing at a weight much higher than I am now.
Our brains work just the opposite of what we need. We are gung ho the first few months, and can still lose while making poor choices. Later on, when we need to really cut back to continue losing, our brains tell us we've suffered enough, and we need to let loose and eat more.
