What's on your menu today (PHOTO FRIDAY) RNYers?
on 2/9/18 2:05 am - GTA, Ontario, Canada
Happy Friday Shiny Happy People! How are you all? I am good! Looking forward to the weekend. Who has some great plans? Nothing big for us, gym for me on Saturday then going over to my MIL's for dinner (East Indian food YUM) and Sunday is the usual, laundry, clean, groceries.
Accountability: much better! I only added in a banana before my hike with the dogs I took them for a 12 km hike and I was beat when I got home!
QOTD: If you could bring back someone who has passed away for just one day who would it be. Can be family, friend, celebrity. For me it would be my Grandmother. Her and I were best friends. She was the most amazing woman I know. Smart, sweet, kind, funny, feisty and she would give you the coat off her back if you needed it. She was 90 when she died in June of 2008 from complications from Alzheimer's. I miss her every single day. (This also plays into what my Photo Friday is).

Here is my Photo Friday pic: The top pic is my grandmother Doris, the one I spoke of above I would want to bring her back. She is about 21 (cira 1940) in this picture and just gorgeous. The picture below is my Grandpa Fred, he was 22 when he was killed in WW II. He was so handsome and my Gran told stories that he was the most incredible man you could ever meet, they were madly in love and her goal in life was to meet back up with him in the great beyond. So here's to you Doris & Fred hope you are dancing your hearts out and never letting go of each other's hands again. I miss you so much Gran, love you forever
Have an wicked awesome weekend everyone! See you back here on Monday!

Happy Friday! Well, I have to work tomorrow, so I am not sure what I am so excited about...
Accountability: Good. There were not really any good choices for me at the training I was at yesterday (the deli wraps all had tomatoes, which I am allergic to), so I pulled out an emergency protein bar. I went over the carbs I wanted, but I stayed under calories. I am keeping up with my running goal, too.
QOTD: Phew, this is an emotional question for an early morning... I lost a very close friend to cancer a few years ago. I can't really even begin to tell you how much I miss her and her husband and kids, who have all scattered around the country since she died. She was a wonderful, kind, loving & generous friend, and my life is a million times better because she was in it.
I didn't take any fun pics this week, I guess, so I decided to recycle some old pics from vacation with Daisy!
I haven't made any decisions about dinner, yet. I'd like to go out, but I haven't talked to Grim about that, yet!
Good morning menu folks! I am up early and drinking coffee, getting ready to telework assuming Trump signs the budget. I didn't sleep well since I was awake every hour or more to check whether the budget had passed and what our work status was. No matter what you think of the budget and the people who voted for it, I am glad that this is a 2-year budget so that we aren't in limbo again for a while. It's stressful!
This weekend will be filled with preparations for surgery time. Lots of cleaning, making soup, packing my bag, etc. I also have a dental checkup on my implant. I think it is doing well for which I am very grateful. Now just to wait the 4-6 months to finish with the crown. I'd also like to get in some swimming and the Aqua Zumba class on Saturday.
Menu:
Breakfast: wake up wrap with turkey sausage
Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, cantaloupe
Lunch: TJ's chicken sausages, broccoli slaw
Snack 2 oz turkey breast, apple, almonds
Dinner: Pork chops, mashed cauliflower, blueberries
Exercise: I plan to get to the pool this afternoon for a swim
Have a great weekend everyone!

Good morning everyone!
No big plans here...still in Winter hibernation, lol. Church on Sunday but that is the only plan.
Accountability: I had a craving for toast yesterday afternoon and gave in to it.
qotd: I loved both my grandparents that have passed but if I could only choose one it would be my grandfather. The reason I choose him is because my DH never had a chance to meet him and I would like my DH to meet my hero. I was always grandpa's little girl and followed him everywhere on our family farm. He lived to be 92...my family has longevity. One of my fondest memories was when my grandmother was in the hospital for surgery so I stay with my grandfather the entire time to take care of him and help on the farm. Everyday during lunch he would share stories of when my grandmother and him were younger. Those lunchtime stories have forever remained with me. He was my hero.
No pics today.
Menu:
B: egg white, pepper, onion and ham scramble.
L: tbd....grooming 2 babies today so lunch depends on that time frame
D: Fajita beef with melted cheese

Nothing Tastes as Good as Healthy Feels!
Good morning and happy Friday! I ate out of boredom last night but it was all approved liquid stuff. I had 2 SF jellos, 2 SF popsicles, broth, a protein shake, and about a gallon of herbal tea from the time I came home from work at 3:30 til bedtimes I told Jeremy that I thought I'd"kicked" the nighttime snacking thing by making tea at night instead of food, but I guess when liquid is the only thing on the menu, having a comfy cup of tea didn't seem like the "treat." I'd trained myself to think of it as?
Qotd: eek. Emotional topic today. I have lost a lot of grandparents (my family has divorced/remarried through generations, so I originally had 5 grandmas, including 5 greats, and 5 grandpas, including 1 great) but of all the people I would bring back it would be my friend Alicia. We were friends in high school and got married (my first marriage) on the same day. I divorced, and she was going through divorce in 2015. She came down to Omaha to stay with Jeremy and I over Rockfest weekend--we went to a big all-day rock festival. That following Monday she was brutally and violently murdered and her body was found in the lake she had gone fishing in. They found blunt force trauma to the head and a slashed neck, but she'd died of drowning. No suspects, nobody has ever come forward with any information, so there has never been closure. She was only 30. There are still rewards out if anyone has information but nobody's claimed it. She was too young, and the act was senseless, and I'd bring her back in a heartbeat.
