What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Sorry to hear your back is bothering you,Daisy and hope your doctor will give you something. QOTD I would love to do both of these but never have. Manatees would be cool too. Items for the bucket list perhaps? Accountability was good yesterday with no extra bites taken. Post op 5 years 5.25 months and weight at 118.6. Lily and I will head out for our 4 miles in a bit and I'll do another mile after supper on the treadmill. Heres the food for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz pork patty leftovers 1/2 c green beans D 1 cheesy link 1/2 c sweet potatoes S 5 oz cottage cheese with 1 T no sugar added strawberry jam. Have a great day full of smart and conscious choices everyone! I'm off to find some coffee!
Good morning Daisy and Pouch pals! Wednesday it is. We are expecting a big one and the school system must be nervous as they cancelled school yesterday! It has not started to snow and I have yet to look at the radar, I will have to take a look, as we all said before it seems that they cancel much sooner today than when we were going to school.
Accountability - was good, I had a road trip yesterday for work, drove 6 hours round trip in Quebec, ate at St hubert Chicken, I had Chicken breast and it is always so tender! I did not eat a normal dinner again...was a protein bar....
QOTD - I think it would be with Stingrays, I would enjoy feeding them under water....I have a slight fear of the ocean, so sharks are out. ( did I just admit that out loud?)
Menu -
B - protein bar
S - oikos greek yogurt
L - 90/10 burger no bun and 1/2 cup of jasmine rice
S - five grain hot cereal and almond butter
D - Unsure at this point - might be pork chop and roasted asparagus wrapped in bacon with balsamic drizzle
Exercise - Monday night I started a new 4 week program - last night was chest , tri and abs. I did the bench press for the first time , I did OK...will need to work my way up. I could not finish all of the exercises I was supposed to do. my shoulder was killing me...but I am working through it and getting stronger..I will be in the 190's this week.
Stay healthy my friends, Mike

Daisy, I do wonder sometimes if it is a hormonal swing on the chocolate and not totally head hunger. because 4 mini lindt truffles made their way into my mouth last night, along with a protein rice crispy bar.
I was SUPER hungry last night.Made the turkey meatballs for dinner with some lettuce, had a piece of grilled chic for lunch and egg white thingies for breakfast.
It is storming here very badly and I hope the internet stays on.
today's plan is:
egg white thingies
protein pancakes?
QOTD: probably neither. I did have a friend that got poke by the stingray barb in her ankle and she had to have surgery and all kinds of issues out of it.
Good morning menu pals! Sorry that I've been AWOL- I have been very busy the last few weeks. I started working out in the morning but with driving to work now, it doesn't give me a lot of extra time to get on here. I will try though- I need the accountability- thank you to Daisy, Liz and Pam for checking in on me- you guys are wonderful.
QOTD- I've sort of done both. Once in Grand Turk, we went snorkeling and one of the stops was to feed a nurse shark. You could dive down and pet it but I have too much natural buoyancy - at least I did then- not sure if it's changed as I haven't been swimming since I've lost weight- to get down to pet it. And a couple of years later we were snorkeling in the Bahamas, and a school of sting rays swam past- they are such amazing gorgeous creatures, and I was in complete awe. A friend of ours was more in the terrified category and made a beeline for the shore- coincidentally, she's going on a cruise in 2 weeks, and I'm lending her my snorkel gear. If I can't go, I guess at least my snorkel gear can lol!
Daisy - I hope you find some relief for your back pain. I haven't needed anything since my surgery, but I know Tylenol has never done much for me in the past.
On another note- I do get something that feels like an electric shock in my butt when I sit a certain way, or if I sit too quickly. My chiro told me that I've lost the fat off my butt (he needs to take a closer look- plenty of padding still there lol!) and my sciatic nerve is exposed which is why I feel that shock. He recommended lunges to build up some muscle to protect the nerve. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced that.
Accountability- well I haven't been on here, but I've been doing okay. The scale is painfully slow- I did finally see 161.7 on the scale the other day but I'm back up to 164. I haven't been tracking in MFP, but I do know that I'm watching the carbs and doing protein first. I will start tracking again for a few days, just for a reality check.
Menu- I'm working from home today so not sure what's on the menu. I had a protein shake for breakfast - something I haven't done in a long time.
Lunch - I think i might cook a tilapia fillet. We have some in the freezer and that's quick and easy.
Dinner- i"m going to make beef stew in the instant pot.
I didn't exercise this morning as I slept in. I haven't been sleeping well the past couple of nights. I've been staying up too late, and then I find I haven't been able to get in to a deep sleep. Plus Charles snores like crazy- it never bothered me as long as I got to sleep before him, but now it wakes me up. I want him to go for a sleep study but he insists he doesn't need one.
Have a great day everyone!
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
I haven't experienced that...maybe still have too much padding back there or maybe it has something to do with butt shape?
