Good morning! This morning is the first real "OK, I'm really starting to dislike the walking to work" moment. I've had days where it's 2' of snow or ice or I get drenched with rain or whatever and thought that for a sec, but got over it. This morning was different. It was an OK walk, I just feel like I'm tiring of it. 5.5 k twice a day with a hiking backpack full of meal plan/clothes/necessities is wearing thin, no pun intended. I'll get over it too, just a rougher day than usual. I figure it's because it's winter and the gear is good but cumbersome. Enough with the whine, the walk is good for me (and if I happen to go a little off-plan on occasion, the 15000 steps and roughly 1000 calories it burns helps in that department).
Menu: B: protein bar. MS/AS: Activia yogurt. L: Protein shake. S: 2 Chicken chili tacos ES: Ideally nothing but decaf. Sometimes that happens, sometimes not. When I "cave" I try for cottage cheese/cucumber/tuna mixture or something like that.
QOTD: I get between 4 and 6 hours' sleep nightly with some regularity. Once in a while I'll go to sleep early but usually I fall asleep on the couch watching tv with my wife. I'm so tired I should just go to bed at 9:30 or 10, but after I walk home from work, clean up supper, teach drum lessons, do homework with my kids and have a little play with them (it's the only time I see them daily), tuck them in for 9 at the latest, I'm beat. So I spend time with my wife a bit, and when (not if) I fall asleep on the couch, she wakes me up to tell me to go to bed (and I listen). I'd like to get more sleep and tend to catch up a little bit on Sundays if I can. I get home from church and disappear often. Sometimes it's the hammock, sometimes it's the workbench in the garage....wherever the kids aren't (they're awesome, but they're loud).

Good morning OH! After feeling pretty crappy for DAYS, I'm feeling back to normal physically. Emotionally is a different story and I just can't seem to bounce back as easily as I used to so I'm trying to stay positive and do all the things I know will help get me through.
QOTD - I usually go to bed about 8 - no joke (even on weekends) and the alarm goes off at 4:30 which gives me 3 snoozes before I have to get up at 5. So I guess 8+ good hours a night. On the weekends, I get up by 6 the latest. I love mornings.
Accountability - The carb monster sucks! I did great yesterday
14+mo post op - 159.3 yay! 3 pounds overnight?

Hello - I'm a week out from surgery, so this will not be very exciting, but am trying to get in the habit of posting regularly.
B - protein shake
L - refried beans and cheese (first puree - whoop whoop!)
D - protein shake
Snack - if I tolerate the beans okay, will try some protein Greek yogurt next
QOTD - I like to aim for 7 hours a night, but according to my fitbit, I come closer to 6 or so most nights - apparently I wake up a lot more often than I would have thought.... Left to my own devices, I would stay up until 1 or 2 and then sleep until around 9, but that doesn't jive too well with working in a school system, so I have to save that for summers.
