Good mornning menu peeps! Another cold day here in Illinois so Lily and I are waiting till 8:00 to do our walk. We'll do 4 miles and then this evening I'll do another mile most likely on the treadmill. Accountability was pretty good although I didn't get my other mile done last night. No extra bites were taken though. Carbs are from the devil as far as I'm concerned. Oats don't seem to bother me but sometimes even yogurt will make me crave sweets. You'd hope that after 51/2 years of this lifestyle you'd be over that but not so here! QOTD I go to bed about 10 every night and get up at 5:30. Most nights though I'm awake a bit too so not all that is sleep. Post op 5 years 5.25 months and weight at 118.6 today. My rheumatologist pointed out to me yesterday that I've been the same weight now for almost 5 years . That never happened ever before in my life. Even as a child the weight was always creeping up. Heres the food plan for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/2 c sweet potatoes D 4 oz burger and cheese 1/2 c sweet potatoes S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day everyone and make the best choices for your health. After all,you deserve to be your very very best! Off to find some coffee!
hi all
we now have our chickens back as of about 8:30 last night! yippie!
QOTD: I generally got o bed by 11 and wake at 7. So between 7-8. I an NOT a morning person and generally dont feel like eating (coffee/water only****il usually 10. I get hungry between the hours of 6-11 pm everyday. And when I say hungry, it is head.
Food yesterday was ok, I had too many evening snacks but they were on plan at least.
today's plan:
egg bites with chicken sausage
coffee
leftover ribs (last part)
dinner is turkey meatballs with salad (hub will have garlic bread)
exercise. Last night was a late night so I could not exercise but I did wrangle up 12 chix and put them in boxes and lifted a bunch of crap including a chicken coop so that worked out. Tonight is 8fit.com tabata HIIT
Hi All!
Crazy day yesterday. I got stuck between floors in one of my building's elevators on the way up to my office in the morning, then we had the morning from hell on the reference desk, then the first class I taught was a bust (second one went OK, though, fortunately), and then I got back up to my office at the end of the day and discovered that the stocks I inherited from my father all sold yesterday, of all days - the worst day of stock market history. ARRRRGGGGHHH. Well, the good thing is, I won't have much in the way of capital gains taxes to pay on them - but I would have rather had the extra money!! Crap!! Oh well, it's not like there's anything I can do about it, so...
Accountability was fine yesterday.
QOTD: According to my Fitbit, I average around 6.5 hours of sleep a night. If you go by when I go to bed and when I get up, it's 7-8 hours, but the Fitbit factors in the times I get up during the night, which is fairly frequently (3 or 4, usually).
2 years 8 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce
MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake
L: taco meat (turkey breast) with lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, and plain Greek yogurt
AS: raw veggies with Greek yogurt dip or crustless protein pumpkin pie (pie if I'm home, that is - kind of wanting to telework today....)
D: maybe "spaghetti" made with zoodles (?)
ex: yoga (if the roads are OK)

Getting stuck in an elevator is in my top 5 worst fears. It used to be a bigger fear when MO. Can you imagine having to get rescued? I would have preferred to have the elevator drop then have firefighters have to lift me out between floors.
