I am glad you have your surgery date. Now is a good time to start increasing your protein, I think that went a long way with how well my skin healed after my PS (suggested by my surgeon on others here).

Thanks for the suggestion about the protein. I usually have about 80 g per day, but how much would you suggest? I am also planning to make some meat and bean soup to put in the freezer. My wife doesn't cook very much so hopefully that will help both of us in the recover weeks.

My PS surgeon recommended over 100 but most days I hit that so I just tried to increase as much as possible as was getting somewhere between 120-130. I did have some protein bars/shakes on hand for afterwards in case I didn't feel like eating...which I didn't for a few days at least. Your surgery will be more of a recovery I am sure so the more you can do proactively the better. Just my two-cents

I was up above 100 after my PS as well and my surgeon felt that I healed as quickly as I did because of it.

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

Got more bad news for my Sister-in-Law's family yesterday. My Sister-in-Law's mother was found dead on the floor yesterday. She wasn't much older than I am. This will be the third funeral for this family in one month! I am so sad for my sweet Sis-in-law.

QOTD: I LOVE Dannon's Light & Fit Greek yogurt. They are only 80 calories a tub and they are 12 g of protein and only 9 g of carbs. I think my favorite flavor is caramel apple pie, but I also like toasted vanilla coconut, cherry, peach, key lime, and toasted marshmallow!

Accountability: I overate a little yesterday. Protein - 94, Calories - 1,425, Carbs - 120.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: taco meat, cheese, sour cream, 1/2 tortilla shell

D: taco meat, cheese, sour cream, 1/2 tortilla shell

E: Walking at Walmart

I am so sorry for the loss in your family. Death is always difficult, but when they come together, it is even more difficult. Take good care and remember that puppy kisses help to heal a broken heart.
