After all the wait, the time has arrived - liquid diet.
It seems like this has been a very long process that would never end, but here I am, my last day of eating "normally" (which obviously wasn't very normal). I'm nervous and excited and more nervous.
What advice do you have for the liquid diet? I ordered some Nectar that should be in today. I was planning on getting some jello and popsicles. I'm already mourning eating a little, as weird as that sounds. I know I have to drink a ton of protein shakes.
Any responses welcome and thank you in advance!

Hooray! It won't be long now! The big thing aside from shrinking your liver through calorie reduction is to get enough protein in during your pre-op diet - at least 60 grams if not more per day. This will provide your body with what it needs to heal quickly. My doc had me on 4 Bariatric Fusion "shakes" (really to thin to be called shakes) per day. No coffee either! Best of luck to you, and smooth sailing!
Best wishes! I start my liquid diet on Thursday!
i got a couple different types of protein mixes and RTD varieties to keep things mixed up, and unflavored powder to mix with broth.

It's fairly easy to find at most vitamin/health type shops that sell protein. My local grocery store actually has a decent selection. I bought a small pouch of Isopure unflavored. I figured I could add it to broth and to other strained soups for a boost

Where did you find unflavored powder?
I like Unjury unflavored protein powder. I buy it online.
