Good morning! By the time I got to work this morning, I looked like the abominable snowman, LOL. It was a nice walk and not too windy, so the snow looked rather nice falling. Very peaceful opportunity for me to think, pray, and just prepare myself for the onslaught of lunacy that is my week. I reflected on my weekend too, and it was a good one. Lots of family time, and my wife and I had a chance to go for a drive yesterday "sans kids" (they're old enough to hold down the fort for a little while).
Menu: We hit Costco Friday so I was able to replenish my whey protein isolate supply. I brought the tub in with me in my backpack, so all week I think I'll get back to basics.
Breakfast and Lunch: shakes. 70g protein, 300 cal total. The numbers on this Kaizen brand found at Costco are pretty awesome, and I don't mind the taste.
MS/AS: Today, I was lazy and didn't want to make a bunch of noise while the house was quiet, so I just grabbed a couple protein bars. Kindof a "processed" food day vs my usual yogurt/cottage cheese/cucumber type days, but it'll work.
Hmm....I'm going to be at 110g protein before supper. Didn't think of that til just now but that's OK I suppose. The bars can't be a daily thing, partly because they cost more, but also, I like eating "real" more often than not.
Supper: Unknown but plan forward. Hoping for chili :)
QOTD: Even as an almost 400 lb guy, I was never clumsy, always fairly agile. Now at almost half that, I'm still agile, though this past year as my body adjusted to the new weight and proportions, my balance was a little off to the point I'd be standing there and just fall over. It's improved now as my core has learned that it has to actually do something now. I theorize that the reasonable agility comes from the hand/eye coordination from almost 40 years of drumming, but I don't have a history of being a klutz. My eldest sister on the other hand....more than makes up for it. That girl needs bubble wrapped. My oldest daughter is a lot like her, and my youngest is like me, a freakin' cat/monkey mix. Trips to the park are a lot of fun if there are monkey bars.
Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
Daisy, I'm so sorry about your fall! I hope you heal up quickly!
Today I have to drive 3 hours to Omaha for my 2-year surgery check-up and then 3 hours back home. I can't believe it's been 2 years already!
QOTD: I am clumsy. For a while I kept breaking bones by just standing there, but they discovered that my parathyroid glands had one that was enlarged and once they removed that one I quit breaking bones. I think my clumsy-ness is better now that I'm not obese any more.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 94, Calories - 1,355, Carbs - 129.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt
L: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana
D: general tso's spicy chicken
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups
E: Don't know if I'll get back from Omaha in time to walk Blossom before dark or not.
Have a WONDERFUL day everyone!
~ Karen
