Good morning! About to get dressed for Jeremy's parents, they're bringing me a "new" office chair (they bought a new one and mine is busted so I'm getting their old one), then we're going to breakfast. It's a place I can make healthy choices so that's good. We might hit up the used bookstore after because his mom and I are both bookworms.

QotD: I've been planning my spring garden using a garden planning app on the Farmers Almanac website. It tells you how many plants you'll need for your space based on correct spacing, what can grow nicely beside each other, etc. super nerdy but thinking about my garden keeps me occupied when it's cold and dreary.

Breakfast: probably an omlette

lunch: no idea, likely nothing if I'm being honest since were having a late breakfast

dinner: I will have turkey chili in the crock pot today. Leftovers will be frozen for DH to eat while I'm on liquids for Feb.

Ahhh, good Sunday morning everyone! Looking forward to a really nice hike this morning with my honey! It will be just us today. It's too far for our little pups and with our big girl Lucy completely blind now, we stick to our neighborhood for walks. We can't take her anywhere there are other dogs because if she is approached she gets startled and will snap at them aggressively. Poor baby is walking into walls and bumping into us all the time.

QOTD- Right now I am obsessed with all things Marine Corp - recruit, boot camp and parent/mom related. Brushing up on my Marine history and terminology as well. I cannot get enough!

Accountability - I was so snacky yesterday and just wanted to eat all day. I ended up over eating- but it was w/ almond butter, a protein bar and protein chips. I finally was so full that I stopped thinking about food.

14 mo post op

b-coffee w/hc, fried eggs

l-out after hike - probably chicken and salad

d-BBQ chicken

v/l - on track

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Sunday, menu friends.

I went out for wings with my family yesterday and was really happy that my cousin Andy and his wife Pam joined us; they're my age and it was nice to catch up with them. The band was really good and my Mom was thrilled that they took requests, lol.

I learned that I have not been eating enough protein to fill me up. Yesterday I had wings and ate enough to feel full, then stopped and gave the rest away. I wasn't hungry at all for the whole rest of the night and didn't even need a snack later. So I will be upping my protein from now on. My center says to get in at least 60 grams but I think I need at least 70-80 grams of protein to feel full now.

Accountability: Great, except I had a diet pepsi last night. I don't normally drink pop. I had no trouble with the carbonation at almost a year out.

QOTD: In the past week I've read "Little Brother" by Cory Doctorow and "Revival" by Stephen King. I enjoyed them both but Revival wasn't a true horror story, IMO. I really enjoyed "Little Brother" though; it was something new and I loved all of the technology in the book. It was also free on my reading app, which was great. I'm currently reading something so boring I can't even remember the title or author, lol.

Menu:

Breakfast: Decaf with premier protein, Greek yogurt with strawberries and bran buds.

Lunch: Either a one egg omelette with cheese or a pepperette with a cheese string.

Supper: Sausage and red pepper dish.

Snacks: Pickle, clementine.

Pre-Op Visit: Jan. 10, 2017, weight 304, surgeon: Dr. David Lindsay, St. Joe's, Toronto

1st Day of (3 weeks worth of) Optifast: Jan. 11, 2017
