Morning weekenders!

what does everyone have planned? I'm going to start by drinking coffee and reading through all the amazing before/after posts on yesterday's menu thread!

It's so amazing to see what you all have accomplished!

qotd in keeping with yesterday's theme, I want to hear about your NSVs. What's one that surprised you, or one you were looking forward to the most?

my newest one, was at the movies the other night. I was there with a friend, and she was moving her coat around etc, so she placed her popcorn in my seat. Like, between me, and my arm rest. It's one of those fancy recliner cinemas, so it's spacious. But I was shocked. I remember going there pre op, and not wanting to recline, because my thighs blocked the buttons, and I barely fit in the seat.

Another surprising one for me recently, is how much clothing I can fit in a carry on suitcase. I'm traveling for work for a week, and I can totally fit everything I need in there. Wut?!

Accountability

good, but not necessarily by choice. I have been dealing with stomach issues all week.

menu

other than coffee and premier, it's all up in the air. Heading to the farm shortly.

have a great one!

Good Morning Erin and Menu Family!

I am babysitting my grand niece, Lilly, today. She is 3 years old. That should be fun, but she has a lot of energy so she will keep me hopping! Before my surgery I doubt I would've been able to keep up with her. I also hope to video chat with Saralisa this weekend, who is in Washington DC area doing an internship.

QOTD: I bought a pair of 13/14 jeans on our dollar auction. I was worried they might be too small, but they are almost too big!

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 106, Calories - 1,300, Carbs - 95.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

D: General Tso's spicy chicken

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a WONDERFUL weekend everyone!

Morning all. I am crawling out from under my sick-den and preparing to reenter society again. First stop is to the movies. Then if I am up for it, I want to run some errands. I am sooooooooo bored--and this feels like a huge outing.

QOTD: Those are awesome NSVs! I am struggling to think of any for myself right now. I have been so scale focused lately... but I guess the best one is that I decided to give up flour and sugar as a New Year's Resolution, and while I haven't been perfect, I am on track more that 95% of the time and that is something I could have never done, pre-op.

New MFP format for me today!... I updated my macros to lower calories and reflect more of a keto plan. I have been meaning to do this for a few weeks. I had played around with my totals after following guidance from the website: "if it fits your macros". I never thought it was right, but I tried mixing it up for awhile.

What movie did you see? I'm glad that you felt well enough to get out for a while. Continue to rest though so that you feel better and get over the cold once and for all!

Good morning weekenders! I am really having trouble getting going this morning. I didn't really sleep all that well, but I couldn't get myself out of bed either. It felt so good snuggling under the covers with the cats. Finally it was the call of the coffee pot that got me going and now I have had my coffee and some breakfast. I will postpone my errands until tomorrow probably and spend some time at the pool swimming laps and doing Aqua Zumba. Both of them make me feel so much better and I need that right now.

Edited to add that I am still waiting for a surgery date and not coping very well.

QOTD: As for NSVs, one that I have noticed over the last few months is that I don't mind using public restrooms as much. I used to not be able to fit in the regular ones, only the handicapped ones. Getting in between the door and the seat and turned around was a real problem. Now I can just slide in to even the smaller ones and not mind at all.

Also I agree with you Erin that my clothes take up so much less room. Two 3 or 4X sweaters and a pair of jeans would just about fill a suitcase.

Accountability: I'm craving carbs alot and having some success but not always. I just keep working at it.

Menu:

Breakfast: 2 TJ's chicken sausages, blueberries

Pre-swimming snack: string cheese, apple

Post-pool snack: protein shake, turkey breast

Dinner: shrimp, spinach

Exercise: some swimming and Aqua Zumba class
