Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

Awesome pictures, Daisy! You look AH-MAZING!

Weekend plans? I will be babysitting my 3-year old Grand Niece on Saturday. She has a lot of energy, so she keeps me hopping! Sunday I hope to do a video chat with Saralisa. Monday I drive 3 hours to Omaha for my 2-year gastric bypass surgery check up.

QOTD: I learned (a little late), not to waste your honeymoon phase. I learned that protein bars are NOT a good thing to eat daily. I've learned to track my food and exercise on MyFitnessPal and how important it is to log on to the Daily Menu thread each day. I've LOVED the friendship and support I've gotten from all of you!

Accountability: Not bad. Yesterday: Protein - 104, Calories - 1,220, Carbs - 83.

B: Prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: crustless chicken pot pie

D: beef & broccoli

S: Prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a WONDERFUL day everyone!

Protein bars... yes, my nemesis early on... Now I rarely buy them, and treat them like 'candy'... they are a slippery slope for me and I'm almost always tempted to eat TWO of them! No Bueno!

Hope you have fun with your grand niece!!!

Yes, I lost a LOT of my hair during recovery. Actually I started losing my hair before I even had WLS, so now I only have about 1/3 or 1/4 of the thickness that I used to have. Fortunately I had really thick hair to start with, but now for pictures I pull it all to the front so it looks like I have more hair than I really have in the picture. I am taking Biotin, using Rogaine and trying anything I can but I don't think my hair is growing back.

I will turn 60 in March and started having finer hair around 50. So not sure what I'll have after WLS. oh well, my grandma always looked stylish in her hair turban, lol.

I'm 7.5 months out. When I washed my hair yesterday it seemed like quite a bit less was falling out, thank goodness! For a while there it was departing by the handful! My hair used to be incredibly thick, but started being thinner when my thyroid got weird, and surgery just exacerbated that. I'm lucky it was so thick to begin with, or I think I'd be investing in wigs by this point!
