Beautiful sunny day here but very cold.

Already got my gym time in so I'm feeling accomplished :)

Adding some carbs today via thin crackers, last time I had a bit of carbs like that it helped end a stall, hoping it does the same today.

B- Chocolate/peanut butter protein powder with unsweetened almond milk

S- Havarti, pickles and super thin cracker thingys I got at Costco

L- leftover chicken

S- 2 almond date rolls

D- homemade pizza night. (crust tonight is a recipe made from ground turkey and parmesan cheese)

S- Lite & Fit yogurt.

QOTD - Too many tips to remember, I also put the premier protein in my tea. Sometimes I froth and heat it so its a latte Mmmmmmmmm

Happy Friday, menu friends!

Daisy! You really look so slender, so fit and so fabulous! You're an inspiration!

Yesterday I drove down to my surgery center for a check-in. The freeway just reopened after the devastating mudslides, and it was very slow going through Montecito due, I guess, to so many of the off-ramps still being closed. The poor, suffering oleander plantings on the median were clearly the worse for wear, and there was a thin film of dirt everywhere, but Caltrans and others performed a truly Herculean task in clearing the road of enormous boulders, random ruined cars and trucks, snapped tree trunks, and many, many feet of deep, thick mud. I am grateful! Then beyond Montecito, towards Ventura, there was a stretch where the Thomas fire had burned right down to the freeway. There, an enormous cloud of dirt hung high in the air, like smoke - but it was just blown brown dirt from the denuded hillsides.

My center weighs us on an In-Body analyzer, which gives info about the body fat/lean muscle/water ratios in each of your arms, each of your legs, and your torso (what about your head?). One think which I found weirdly amusing was the advice in the print-out that I should "lose 82.2 lbs. of fat, and gain 0.01 pounds of muscle".

First: tea with cashew milk, Cinnamon Buns protein drink.

B: Turkey, a little Snowdonia Green Thunder cheese

L: Roast beef, green beans

D: Bbq pulled brisket from Trader Joe'ss

Enjoy today, everybody!

I can't even imagine how awful all that mud is. Glad you are OK.

Today is 1 full month since surgery (12/26/17) I have learned a lot about my self this month. I know that I can stick to a liquid diet for 2 weeks before surgery and 2 weeks after surgery. I have learned my stop sign when eating - running nose of a hiccup. I have survived my first stall at 3 weeks out (just like my doctor told me I would.) I have perfected getting my liquids in (800 calories a day not so much.) I have nailed getting my vitamins every day. My success? Off all meds (except the gallbladder pill I have to take for 6 months), I fall asleep so easily, my clothes are getting lose (bye, bye 25 pounds), Walking is easier and I just generally feel better. Still trying to get used to the . LOL Have a great weekend!
