Good morning!

After work last night, the bunch of us went to a local bar as a send-off for someone's last day. I had a glass of water while everyone else had some beers and food, and I wasn't even remotely interested in the pub grub. Call that an NSV I guess. In my mind I was thinking about the numbers of that greasy food, and I just couldn't partake knowing the damage it would do to me. Accountability, I did have a couple of treats at lunch with everyone but kept it limited (and reflected it later in my calories for the day). In the afternoon I paid for it though, I felt the GI effects. I'm not a dumper but if I have anything, I feel its' effect with a bit of a tough few hours (so I stay away 99% of the time). After I walked home and my 70 minute walk was 55 minutes!!! 18,000 steps yesterday.

Menu: Protein bar for breakfast and my coffee (for my coworkers protection). MS: 1/2 cup cottage cheese with cucumbers, L: can of tuna. Had to grab n run today. AS: same as MS. Supper, probably just a protein bar, depends but I'm not interested in eating at that time of day lately.
It's weird, because I still never feel "hunger" or cravings so it's a timing thing. Will discuss that with my clinic at my 1-year appt. ES: Decaf.

Oh and the office treats? I arrived early today, set aside a few treats for those that might still want something with their morning coffee, and threw out the remainder (which was mostly stale anyway).

QOTD: I'll echo a lot of the stuff that people have already said on here, but one thing that really has helped me that's kinda fun to mention, is the little addition of 2 tbsp sf chocolate pudding powder to 1/2 cup ff greek plain yogurt. Stir that up, and whammo. chocolate mousse. That is a really great treat that doesn't kill your efforts.

Here's my pic. The drum one is more-or-less at my highest weight of 391. The other is this morning's pic, and I'm wearing an XL t-shirt that is actually a baggy fit (so I have to find some L this weekend).

You've done a great job! And I'm always amazed at how much you walk and get moving, right from the start!

Thanks pammieanne! It was a choice based partly on us being a single-car family (so I let my wife have the car, and I hate the bus, lol) The walking was hard for a few days immediately following surgery, and shuffling around my neighbourhood for a couple of weeks, working my way up to 3k. I started the 11k walking thing at 1 month post-op, which was a little tough at first and took me 90 minutes with rests. There was some biking to work mixed in there early on, but I've had so many close calls with cars that I just chose to walk for most of the time, for now. Getting back on the bike this spring though.
