Yes, keep those pesky carbs at Bay, no matter what anyone tells you, they are addictive awful creatures that will keep tapping you on the shoulder begging that you eat more of them!!!

So your before picture really is pretty, your eyes are shining! However, look at you now!!! Those chins are gone, and confidence radiates from you!!! Great transformation!

Pat, you look beautiful! It's amazing how much more delicate and refined your face is now - it shows your spirit more clearly.

Mornin'!

Feeling really bloated and waterlogged this morning - UGH! Must have been in the salt in the (two) beef sticks I had at lunch yesterday - plus I had some peanut butter - can't think what else. I've always been salt sensitive, but it seems worse lately. Lots of water for me again today....

No big plans for the weekend. Just trying to finish the book I've been reading, plus I need to do some work for an organization I'm on the board for.

accountability was fine yesterday

QOTD: hmmm...a lot! I've tried certain products I never would have heard of otherwise, I got a DEXAscan to check my fat percentage (would have never done this if I hadn't heard about it here, either), lots of menu ideas

2 years 7 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce

MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax latte shake

L: 1 C chili with 2 T shredded cheese

AS: raw veggies with Greek yogurt dip

D: pulled pork or ham/bean soup

another L&F yogurt or a piece of protein pumpkin pie if I can afford the calories

Ex: will stop at the gym on the way to work and do the cross-trainer for a half hour

the first one is from about three years ago - c. 372 lbs.

second is from last summer - c. 140 lbs

third (in the striped sweater) is from me a year ago - but I weighed the same then as I do now - about 146 lbs (I've been feeling really fat the last couple of months, but I really do not look bad - about the same as I did when I was 140, in fact... weird how the mind works....)

Your eyes opened up so much after losing all that face weight! Look at you! I love the grin in the second after picture, you just really look happy and confident!

Yes, the DEXA! A GREAT way to see where you are when everyone that knows you keeps telling you that you're TOOO THIN! I really needed that to help me see that in fact, I was just fine!

oh yes - it was super helpful. I had it last year when I was the same weight I am now (c. 146 - the weight listed on my scan report is 146.6). I thought I had another 10-15 lbs to go, but the tech said nope....you only have 22% body fat - it's about time to stop. Wow! That "fat" I was fretting about was all loose skin (in fact, I may look thinner if/when I get it removed. I am...and was...apple-shaped, so almost all of my excess skin is in my torso. Might make a difference if I decide to have it removed....
