Good morning!

Walked in this morning again, but I'm craving my bike. The ice alone is a little bit of a detractor for me still, but more so is the distracted driving problem. I'm still a little gun-shy about cycling after my last near-miss that threw me off the road. I'll get there though, just waiting for nicer weather I think. I did purchase a helmet-camera so I can cat*****idents on video and maybe talk to a cop or two about it. Worth the investment to fight back, if it results in a life saved.

Menu: I just finished breakfast here at work. 1/2 cup ff greek yogurt, 1/2 cup raisin bran and some cantaloupe on top (not too much).

MS: 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese with a few slices cucumber chopped up

L: the last remnant of that glorious meatloaf. I had to arm wrestle my 7 year old for it. After I lost, I had to buy it from her with a cookie I wasn't going to eat anyway. LOL

AS: Same as MS

S: Unknown

ES: yogurt, decaf and water.

All vitamins and water, no problem there.

QOTD: I would probably sleep in til 8, maybe 9. Then go for a walk, come home and play some drums for a couple of hours. Clean up, pick up my wife for a lunch date, go see my parents and have a coffee visit. Pick up the kids from school, and take my family out for a drive (with a stop for supper). Basically an easy-going day. Anything but be at, or think about this place. Even just typing all of that took me away for a minute, which was amazing.

Great idea on the helmet cam, I think all cyclists should have them. Way too many unnecessary accidents for cyclists.

I LOL'd at your "arm wrestle my 7 yrs old and lost and had to buy it from her with a cookie," that's funny dude!

I think your "day off" plans sound glorious, you should pick a random day off in the nicer weather and do that with your family!

Thanks! Maybe once it warms up a little bit, I'll do just that. I am lucky enough to be in a job where we have "Happy Fridays"...also called Earned Days Off (EDO's) for short; we work an extra half hour per day for 3 weeks, and every 3rd Friday we have off. Staggered between employees so the corporation remains open, but employees can do things like medical appointments etc. It comes in handy. I've been able to do most of my bariatric related appointments on these days so I don't burn out my vacation days.

Re the camera, I had been thinking about it for a long time, because in addition to my own close calls, I witness cars run school bus signs ALL THE TIME. Often I'm able to at least get the plate and a car colour, but video makes it easier, and I won't think twice about calling that sort of thing in. My brother-in-law is a motorcycle guy, and he wanted a better camera so sold me this one at a good price. It's perfect and doesn't stick up, just tucks in alongside my helmet.

:)

My company used to offer 1/2 day Fridays... we would all work an hour longer M-Th and leave at noon on Friday's... we were bought out last year, and the new company took that away from us. I can't even explain to you how much I miss that! You are lucky to have even every third Friday off, I'm officially jealous!

mmmmm kielbasa, I forgot about that food, I need to get some in my groceries this week. I like to bbq it but in this cold weather I pan fry it until its crispy and have it with some SF ketchup

Safe driving today!

I love grill kielbasa too and sometimes I throw it on my smoker. I buy it fresh at the Polish deli because it has less sodium.

We used to get it from a Ukrainian store in Bloor West Village, but it shut down. Now we just get it at Costco. They have a pretty good one, seems very lean.
