Hey Easy Breezy Cheesy People, how are you all? I am good. I have to tell ya this winter weather is kicking my butt. I am so tired and feeling a little stir crazy with no sun and no warm temps for so long. The winters blues are for sure setting in for me. Don't forget "before & after" photo Friday tomorrow!
Accountability: Fine I guess, I didn't really eat much yesterday. I skipped breakfast & lunch (too busy at work) and ate my snack of cheese & olives for my lunch. I skipped dinner and had cheese & red pepper jelly on two lavash breads. After our hike with the dogs I went to bed early. Kind of a weird day yesterday.
QOTD: If your Boss suddenly came up to you now and told you that you get a paid day off tomorrow just for being an excellent employee what would you do with your time? I would sleep in to at least 8am (bye bye 4:30am alarm), have a nice long leisurely breakfast of homemade over easy eggs and crispy bacon. Take the dogs for a big long hike to the local Provincial park then come watch some Netflix. Then take hubby out for a steak dinner and go to bed early! Long story short = relax!!

Hiya Kids :) You all must be so sick of hearing me whine. I am sick of it, myself. But here we are... The reason I dragged myself in yesterday is because I had coordinated a big training that about 40 people RSVP'd yes to come to. I had people presenting from 3 different organizations and I was really proud to have pulled it together. But all day the RSVPs were slowly dwindling and by the time we presented, there were THREE people who joined by video and ZERO in person. I was horrified. It made our organization look terrible. And frankly I was personally pissed to have to be there when I just wanted to sleep. I am going in for just one meeting today and then leaving. Hoping to nap a lot today!
Accountability: Stayed away from flour and sugar but soothed myself with a bag of potato chips and ate too much popcorn (I had planned on 1c, but I think I probably ate 3c). And of course, I didn't eat anything else all day, so it was basically a zero protein day. D'oh.
QOTD: Well if it was today I would just sleep and binge tv. But on a normal day my favorite thing to do is to get up early (I know!) and pick a cute spot in Maine, NH or RI and go explore for the day. I like going to small historical museums and eating in local restaurants. And I love walking along the water. I usually have a few ideas of things to do, but let the day unfold. I want to host a travel show where they let me be a professional New England Tourist :)
Dinner is TBD--I can't think that far ahead right now...
JB - I do not blame you for being angry and understand it is a reflection of the organization and not you. It is a professional courtesy to follow through when responding to meeting/training any professional request. There are many that always respond yes and do not show, just decline the damn meeting! There are also many who are always late, if you are not able to be punctual, do not accept the meeting. Being late is as bad as a no show! Hope you feel better!

I can't believe the audacity of those people to not show up or call in. That is so unprofessional. Not a reflection of you but other's people's lack of professionalism.
I am glad you are getting some rest today. As you know I work at a hospital. The flu/cold is raging here. Our staff that are getting the flu/colds are dealing with it for weeks, 4-6 weeks to be exact. Its very very nasty this year. Nothing you can do but rest, liquids, and take something to make the symptoms more bearable (Tylenol Cold & Flu for example). But just wanted to warn you that this cold stays around for weeks. I rarely if ever get the flu or colds I think after working in the hospital for 20+ years I have a great immune system, that and I went into Operations instead of Clinical work so I have less time with patients. You of course running so many schools deal with kid germs daily. I hope you get some rest and feel better soon.
I totally support your idea of a travel show and being NE professional guide, you totally rock at it!
