What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Great job with the donuts! We do not have a Krispy Kreme within 3 hours of here and it is a good thing! I am weak when it comes to Krispy Kreme!

I had to fast for an ultrasound for my liver today. Won't know the results for 3-4 days. It probably won't be to Monday so I get to be anxious for quite awhile.
My meals are off schedule but I'll get them in.
Qotd I had wls so I wouldn't die young like my mom. My health was going downhill.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D keto lasagna and green beans
Have a good day

Howdy,
Major NSV today. I reached into my closet while it was dark and hubby sleeping to take my son to school at 615 am. Later when I looked at the label cause they were a little bit tight but wearable, I realized I had skipped over a size clothing for pants. Last time I looked I was 16, thinking I was a 14 now and it turns out I was wearing my size 12 pants from 9 years ago. !! Time for some clothes that fit me.
QOTD: I had weight loss surgery because...... (Which time? LOL) 3x a charm....?
First time, I was 340 lbs, smoked a pack a day and couldnt get up the stairs..... Miserable
Second time: Band slip and some regain so it needed to come out. Lost more weight and got to a newer low weight of 165
Third time: Hernia, horrible reflux and swallowing issues and some regain over 8 years....
Food for the day:
Spaghetti squash, lean ground beef and parmesan
1/2 protein bar
Snack: ? Cheesestick most likely
Dinner: Probably more ground beef in hamburger form. This is 96% fat free meat.... with green beans
Snack: Low carb yogurt with PB powder
25 carb grams calories: less than 800, water and vits

Good afternoon menu peeps!
I've only read the first page of posts, will try to get back to them tonight... oh work!
QOTD: I promised myself that if I didn't lose the weight by the time I was fifty, I'd get weight loss surgery. At the time I was still below the threshold for WLS but as the outcomes improved they dropped the weight limit and that combined with a few acquired weight related issues was enough to qualify me! I started the process around my 49th birthday. I did it because I wasn't able to fully engage in life as a MO person. I wasn't able to keep up with my friends and family, I wasn't able to live the life I WANTED to live. Now that I'm able to do all those things I can't believe that I waited as long as I did!
Accountability: I ended up eating some sweet potato fries instead of my planned RTD protein after work, and I skipped the planned beer and chicken, instead having a ****tail that was less calories and carbs. I did have a few bites of birthday cake but came out even in total calories, low in protein, high in carbs.
10 months post RNY/143lbs/Weight-loss stage

L- left over roast beef w/ blue cheese and a 1 oz pack of smoked almonds plus a dove dark chocolate

D- Wings (2)
ES- Warmed chocolate RTD protein shake with a shot of peppermint vodka
Total: 1077, Protein: 102 Carbs: 70 Sugar: 17 Fat: 40
This morning I saw 142 on the scale for a few seconds before it settled on 143 - but that makes me feel like the 130s are in my future!!! 130s were last seen in the twentieth century!
I'm going out for drinks with my new VP tonight - I'm planning on ordering a diet coke but if I need to get a beer, I'll just sip a few ounces. Lately even a GREAT beer just doesn't feel like it's worth the calories! Even a GREAT glass of wine is tough - maybe I can drink 3 oz but no more. I'm also planning on having a couple of wings, or some other protein option for bar food.
Exercise: I did NOT get up in time for a run this morning, but I have walked the steps today and hope to get one more trip up before I leave for a meeting. After yesterday's hikes up the steps, plus a swim and upper body weights I'm feeling pretty sore. One full trip up the stairs today was pretty hard to do so my body might be telling me that it could use a break today?

Hi all! Happy Wednesday!
A little drop on the scale gave me a cheerful start to the day: I'm down 120.6 pounds! Yay!
QOTD: I had WLS because I felt well and truly stuck. Metabolically stuck. I had reached my all-time high, weight-wise, and just couldn't seem to find the power within myself to take it all off yet again, only to be unable one more time to resist regain. The battle felt so exhausting, and fruitless. But I was miserable, so incredibly uncomfortable, and so embarrassed by my appearance. My knees were constantly hurting. Clothing was no fun at all. Thank goodness, I was not diabetic nor dealing with treacherous cholesterol levels, but who knows what would have come? My thyroid was wonky, but otherwise I wasn't on meds - but again, who knows what would have come. I had my RnY because I realized I needed a tool to help me to maintain my loss. I am so aware of the threat of regain! I wasn't prepared for the amazing gift of this honeymoon period - every previous diet I've been on has been accomplished through sheer, gritty will power.
First: tea with cashew milk, protein drink
B: BBQ pulled chicken
L: Trying an egg again! And cheddar.
D: Not sure yet - turkey maybe.
Have a beautiful day today!
Once again I?m posting on the wrong end of the day!
qotd: I?m having WLS because I?m 32 and too young to feel as old as I do. I want to get my health under control so I can live the rest of my life without having my own body be why I can?t. I want to be able to wear what I want and not just what fits. I want to stop giving myself 3-4 shots of insulin a day
Breakfast was a protein shake
lunch was catered in: baked potato bar with bbq pulled meats and salad with fresh made croutons. I had some bbq pulled chicken and loaded up on salad. Might have gone a bit over on those delicious croutons though...I probably could have eaten them like chips
dinner will be a steak I share with DH, and broccoli. I bought a huge Costco bag of fresh broccoli that I need to eat up before liquid diet starts. DH won?t touch it but I adore broccoli lol

I don't share much here anymore. But I'll go through what I nibble on throughout the day...Just to give you and idea. I'm over 11 years out.
I'll grab something from the fridge in the morning...Many times fast food. But it may not be the fast food you might think about. Maybe Wendy's Chili (with cheese). Maybe an McDonalds sausage burrito (taking a lot of the bread/dough) off of it. Some Costco Polish Dog (with sauerkraut). I didn't like sauerkraut till post op RNY...Go figure. I will have my McDonalds coffee...With milk, sugar, Splenda, and Equal. I usually just drink 2-3 oz a day...Only in the morning. I have problems sleeping so I stop all caffeine by 12 noon (just me). I also eat my dark chocolate before 12 noon. 70-72% in coco for me...Just a few oz per day. Will grab my fruits, vegetables, and nuts throughout the day. In my pockets I keep; plain nuts (walnuts, peanut [dry roasted], almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, pecans), roasted soy nuts, raisins, banana chips, beef jerky. I will toss them in my mouth when I feel my blood sugar getting low. Doing OK with my diet. I'm at 199 today...Use to be about 300 pounds. I work off a lot of my food. I try and do a lot of physical work or exercise. When I'm not doing them, my weight goes up...But I try and keep active. Many days I will ride my bicycle to the local coffee shop. Get a cup of soup and a glass of water. I know their soups by heart...Monday navy bean (I put up with that one), Tuesday cream of broccoli, Wednesday chicken vegetable, Thursday beef vegetable, Friday clam chowder, Saturday chicken and rice. The only day I don't get soup in on Tuesday...I don't like cream of broccoli. Also my pouch doesn't like cream soups!!
Also during they day I'll have things like; homemade soup/stew beef/vegetable (crockpot), Taco Bell (power bowl...Add my own salsa). In the evening I will have my plain Greek yogurt (whole milk). I will add real fruit to the yogurt...strawberries, blueberries, bananas, grapes. My downfall most days is tortilla chips...The crunch, the oil, the salt!!
That's about it. Brian
I look at the amount of food on this chart and it amazes me that you can eat that much. I eat 2 Carbmaster yogurts a day with frozen berries and slivered almonds twice a day. That is pretty much all I can fit in and I have to force that amount. I cannot imagine trying to eat that often even with small amounts. I have no desire to eat at all. If I could get by on just taking vitamins, I would.
