Good morning everyone! I've been MIA this last week to spend time with my son before he left for boot camp. It was the the most precious time ever We talked and talked, laughed and cried... I am so proud of him, he is so brave. I already miss him so much and still have 13 weeks to go before I can see him or hear his voice again. Letters, letters and more letters - I've already written him 6.
I'm going to check out a local yoga studio that has a ton of great classes at great times that could work for me and my schedule. I'm hopeful it is a good fit.
QOTD - I had WLS for my health and to feel better period. Every diet I've ever been on in the past was to look better but this was different. I was tired of being tired, unable to breath, unable to move or fit anywhere. I was tired of feeling so damn heavy and unhealthy. I was afraid of getting sick or hurt and no one able to help me or move me because I was so big. The list goes on and on...
accountability - on track as of yesterday - this past week was a carb blur and I'm not weighing in until Saturday.

Morning Everyone!
First I want to scream from the rooftops that I was 'appointed' to pick up donuts for our team meeting this morning... I walked into Krispy Kreme and was immediately greeted (accosted) by a lady offering me a free HOT glazed donut.... I declined, regrouped, and ordered the donuts I was there to get... I put them in an empty office near me before the meeting to keep that smell away from me, then I sat in a meeting, for 1.5 hours with those dang donuts sitting right in front of me! I walked out of the meeting having NEVER GRABBED A DONUT!!!! Yay Me (Can you tell this was a stressful time for me?! But I'll take any win I can get at this moment)
QOTD: So I had WLS surgery because... well there were a lot of reasons, really. I was tired. Tired of constantly battling with diets, and watching my numbers on the scale just keep going up after each failed attempt... I was, and still am, vain. I hated the way I looked. I hated trying to shop for clothes and feeling like a huge tent was my only option. I hated that my legs hurt just walking from the car to a store, and always lagging behind my family on that short trip... being out of breath if I did try to keep up... feeling so lazy all of the time... and I knew, with diabetes in my family, it was only a matter of time. I had my kids later in life, and I want to be around to see my grandkids, and God willing, be around to see them grow up and meet my great grand kids if I'm lucky.
Accountability: Last night I got into this very small amount of real ice cream (about 3T worth). Not sure why I decided to do that, but I did. About 2 hours later, I had an RH episode, which resulted in more carbs mixed with almond butter, and I still feel like crap today. Perhaps I shouldn't be as 'proud' of not eating those donuts today since this was still fresh on my mind... but yesterday I was already planning in my head to allow myself to eat one... this happened and it strengthened my resolve not to do it!
B: Bacon 3 slices and a cheese stick
S: Beef jerky 1 ounce
L: 3.5 ounces of chicken thigh
S: Cheese stick if I need it
D: Something with ground beef... not sure if I'll do burgers or salisbury steak, maybe some leftover fried cabbage and 2T of cottage cheese to go with it
