Hello Vitamin Vixens! How is everyone? We made it to mid week! Don't forget to find your "before" and take an "after" pic this week for Photo Friday's "Before & After" photos.
Accountability: perfect, no extra bites, licks or tastes (BLT's)
QOTD: Finish this sentence: "I had weight loss surgery (WLS) because..." I had WLS because I feared having a stroke (I had dangerously high BP that would not respond to meds) and strokes run on both sides of my family. I had WLS because everything on me hurt, my back, my knees, my ankles. I could not walk a flight of stairs without being out of breath and needing to rest. I felt I was missing out on my own life, I couldn't hike with my husband and dogs, I felt I could never find anything nice to wear that didn't look like a tent on me. I had WLS to become the "me" that was inside a body that was going to give up on me long before I was ready to go.
Time since surgery: 4 yrs + 2 months
My menu is from MFP copied & pasted below:
TOTALS: 854 calories, 101 protein, 41 carbs
V: PatchMD patches are on (Iron, Multi, B12, Vit D & Calcium)
E: 5km hike with the dogs
Have a fantastic day everyone!

Morning. I'm still sick but I have to rally and go in today and tomorrow. No way around it. I'm just waiting to leave until the sun comes up to avoid the iciest roads. Yesterday's trip was dicey in spots. I tried to capture a pic of the trees covered in ice that looked like crystals. I don't think the picture captured it at all.
Accountability: didn't eat much
QOTD: For my first surgery, if I'm honest, I think it was more vanity than health. I mean, health too, but I was sick of looking in the mirror and not recognizing who I saw. I was angry with myself all the time. My revision was 1000% for health reasons. That damn band made me so sick...
B: Protien coffee
S: Nonfat flat white
L: grilled chicken and bbq sauce
S: skinny popcorn

If you just let me rub the Vicks on you, like I keep asking, you'd feel better.
