I feel for you. I am scared of spiders but also don't like to kill anything, so I always try to capture them in big boxes and then run outside and put the box out before they get out of the box, which makes everyone laugh at me.

At my old house, I had lots of trees with big branches, which I loved for the shade, but they were the bane of my existence in the fall because of spiders. My neighbors used to come outside to laugh at me trying to cut the grass under the trees while simultaneously waving my arms and wearing a big hat with a scarf tied over it to protect my face, lol.

My husband and I had a beauty shop. One day a mouse ran across the floor. The ladies were screaming, jumping up on hairdryers, and afraid to move. My husband managed to catch it with the broom and dustpan and throw it outside.

A bit later, someone opened the door and the mouse ran back in. This time Joe went after it with the broom while our customers watched terrified. Instead of capturing it with the dustpan and throwing it back outside, he killed the mouse by hitting it with the broom.

Then they all started asking him how he could be so cruel as to kill the poor little mouse.

He decided that you cannot win when it comes to dealing with women and mice.
