Full proof way to stay off the scale

So I weigh daily, and have been since surgery. Once a day, as I wake up. Fluctuations don't drive me batty (most of the time).

I have two scales (one I got in a weight loss study I was in, the other is the one I've had forever- I got used to weighing in both).

I set out to do my routine this morning. Only, I saw legs sticking out from under the scale. I'm terrified of bugs and can spot them in the deepest corners. I grabbed bug spray and strategically sprayed around the scale, anticipating this beast would make a run for it. And it did, and I encountered the biggest spider I've ever, EVER seen.

A can of spray later and I won. However I was too traumatized to weigh myself. And it was too early for me to wake my husband to clean the aftermath. Of course I've convinced myself that the spider has left behind a spider babies in my scale and I should just toss the whole damn thing. But that would require me touching it.

This made me laugh a lot! I tend to be dramatic too. My husband was out working on the car and I was inside watching tv, when all of a sudden a mouse ran across the floor. Of course my 2 cats just played with it! I called him frantically and told him to come in asap to get the mouse as I was the coward standing on the couch freaking out!

Years ago a friend was driving cross country and stopped at a rest area in New Mexico to use the bathroom. It turned out to be an outhouse. A sign inside warned not to sit all the way on the seat, as spiders sometimes lurked on the underside, and would latch onto your testicles.

One time we had a wolf spider in our garage... I screamed and threw a fit until DH came out to kill it for me... only he stomped on it... we had 1000's of babies run from their mom and scurry all over the garage. I almost passed out!

If that had been a wolf spider, you would have known... and you may have burned your entire bathroom down after that!

I feel your fear you poor girl! I hate spiders but am even more terrified of any kind of bee...my fear is legendary and has been the topic of conversations among friends and family. You would never know I grew up on a farm because of my phobias for spiders, bees and any other bug.
