Update since getting back on track ~ There is hope !!
Hey guys :)
So, today is day 19 since I snapped out of my 2 year denial that my bad habits had reared it's ugly head, and allowed me to regain...
50 lbs
Denial can be our best friend when we pretend those chips/cookies/carbs/junk aren't gonna make "too" much of a difference... and then denial becomes our worst enemy when the pounds come back, and back, and back.
Anyway, I am so glad that I came back to OH and committed myself to get right again. And although I know that the scale is not the only way to tell that we are on the right track, I am happy to have lost 11.2 lbs in the last 19 days !! It's a start anyway.
So, for anyone coming on this website, hoping to get back on track... there is hope !! Just go back to basics - I am eating so much more protein each day, I cut out the crappy carbs (which the cravings for have gone down SOOO much), weighing every ounce/gram of food, logging everything into myfitnesspal, and drinking a lot more water - And definitely not drinking anything for at least 1/2 hour after any meal (which was another bad habit that I fell back into).
One major change that I am doing this time, that I never did before - was logging the foods that I am PLANNING on eating throughout the day into myfitnesspal, before the day starts. This has made such a difference for me !! I always used to eat something, and THEN log it in to myfitnesspal (which would sometimes put me over, calorie-wise, than I wanted. But logging it in before gives me such a better roadmap for the rest of the day, and helps me better not to stray. I saw the people on here doing it in the "What's on you menu RNYers", and I decided to try it that way... WOW, what a difference for me !!
Good luck to everyone !!!
