Baconators! LOL

Good morning. I slept like the dead last night. I don't even think I moved once I drifted off at 11:30. When I woke up, I was laying exactly how I lay when I crawl into bed, and I think everything that cracks, did so when I got up this morning. Could've gone for another 3 hours sleep or so, but alas, it is Tuesday.

Menu: B: 1/2 cup ff greek yogurt with 1/2 cup blueberry/raspberry/bran flake mixture, here at my desk. Soon...coffee.

MS: 1/2 a red velvet pure protein bar.

L: 1/2 cup broccoli with 1/2 cup cauliflower, 2 oz tuna and some creamy cucumber dressing mixed in. Might not eat it all, but I figure that's a decent balance I can pick at over 45 minutes.

AS: the other half of the MS

S: I think my wife is making meatloaf, but I'm not really sure until I get home. Always on-plan stuff though.

All vitamins and water, decaf etc.

QOTD: I've got seniority at work, so if push really came to shove, I could use the contract clause on my coworkers, but nobody here is REALLY like that. Management is pretty cool with it so the schedule is fairly lax that way and we're a laid back bunch (for the most part). I take half my summer off and Christmas, so I can be with my family while they're young. Once they're teens, I won't be cool enough to be more than a wallet and a car supplier, maybe a snack guy, LOL. Right now they're still my little goofs and I'm still cool.

I'm in for the Friday photo thing. I'll dig up something though there aren't many pics of me "before"

Mornin' All!

DH is out shoveling at the moment. I think the roads might be slick (he'll let me know....) - if so, I'll work from home the first couple of hours. I don't have any meetings until this afternoon, and I don't want to risk my life racing to the office this morning if I can do what I need to do from home!

I took my kitty to the vet last night (she had her semi-annual physical). I told them about the urine smell (although I didn't smell it yesterday, of course...) and all the heavy shedding. So far, all the tests have come back normal, although we're waiting on a couple of others (for one thing, she may have a UTI), but the vet agrees that it might just be a grooming issue - she's too arthritic to do a good job with this. So I'll need to help out, which is fine... I'm just glad it doesn't appear to be any sort of scary medication issue!

accountability was good yesterday. I was mostly on plan but the raw veggies I had for my afternoon snack were rough on my stomach, so I had Greek yogurt and two SF fudgesicles for dinner instead of pulled pork and salad. But calories stayed within budget.

QOTD: the first half of fall and spring semester can be tough to take vacation (unless it's just a long weekend) because of all the classes we teach. Trading reference desk shifts is easy and happens all the time, but the instruction coordinator does not like us trading classes unless someone is sick or there's a death in the family or something (I was able to last year when my dad was so sick, though). But outside of those times, I can take vacation whenever. It's easy to trade out of desk shifts, and it's never been a problem during Christmas or New Year's, either, because we always have a couple of people who are either out of vacation days and have to work then, or who want to work then because they can get a lot done when it's quiet.

2 years 7 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt mixed with Crio Bru grounds, raspberries

MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax vanilla pumpkin protein latte shake

L: 1 C cottage cheese

AS: raw veggies with Greek yogurt dip or 2 T peanut butter on celery sticks

D: pulled pork and salad

IF I'm hungry and IF I have enough calories left over, then a L&F yogurt or a piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie this evening

ex: I'll stop at the gym on the way into work for 30 minutes on the cross-trainer, plus maybe a yoga class tonight

Good morning Daisy and baconators! LOL. It is crappy here as well, I had a white knuckle ride home from the gym last night, It always amazes me that the 18 wheelers do not seem to slow down regardless of weather!

Accountability - somehow I did not get all of the cookies out of the house, I saw them and wanted one, ended up adding a half of a protein bar to get my fix. I also had some skinny popcorn last night. Weight stayed the same.

QOTD - My boss is great about allowing time off, but while I am out I am still connected. I am in touch via cell phone and email. When I changed jobs last February I gave up 4 weeks of vacation! I had 7 weeks and now only 3 weeks, but I am gaining 10 hours a week of travel time! So i think it was a win for me!

Menu -

B - 2 hard boiled eggs

S - Fage 0% yogurt, 1/2 cup blueberries and 1 tbsp of almond butter I mix it all together - very yummy

L - Smoked Chicken breast and 100 g of roasted in coconut oil red potatoes

S - five grain hot cereal and almond butter - mixed together

D - Meat loaf and 1/2 cup of jasmine rice

Post workout - mts protein shake

exercise - chest/triceps/abs and 20 minutes cardio. I have lost almost 8 pounds in 2 weeks and have lost 6 inches, gained in my biceps. I am finding that I am burning fat in areas that I did not previously work on. Very happy with my new routine.

Before and after sounds great, is it bad that I laugh at my before pictures?

Good Morning! Daisy, I am sorry you are having gross weather, I will save the bragging for today.

Accountability: I had a banana and Kind bar last night

QOTD: We have times of the year that are blacked out for vacation requests but aside from that I usually just make sure my partner is going to not take the same time off.

It's always good to see before pics...sounds good!

Time since surgery: 3 years 5 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Salami, Carbmaster yogurt, and mixed nuts

D: Spaghetti squash casserole, and 2 squares of 90% dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with canned pumpkin and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: 6 miles ran this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1186 Protein:114 Carbs:74 Fat:52

Good morning! I'll have to cruise back through later to read everyone's posts. I've been having some thoughts about my upcoming surgery, not bad ones but more mind blowing I guess. For example, I'm in awe of the fact that I'm not going to be this size again (ok we'll thats definitely the goal anyway.) or when I was getting dressed, and thinking "This will likely be the last season I wear this sweater."

QotD: I don't work with the public but I do work on a team, so we only let so many off at a time to keep up with service levels. Most of the time it's not a problem and I can take the time off if I have the paid time off in my "bank." It's only an issue around the holidays when we all want the same days off. Black Friday and the day after Christmas are big ones we fight over. I'm a bit of a workaholic and only take off time I need for specific appointments, family events, etc. I really should start taking time off just to relax :P

Breakfast: meant to be a protein shake, but DH drove me to work today and I left it in his car! So I ate an instant oatmeal packet instead (it was a variety that has 10g of protein) that I had stashed in my desk.

lunch/snacks: I will be eating some combination of the following: 1/2 C cottage cheese, low-fat string cheese, Oh Snap pickled carrots, and a Greek L&F

dinner: a big serving of broccoli and maybe that protein shake I didn't have in the morning.

I remember those days of looking at clothes and thinking "I'm never going to wear this again"... and I'll be honest... that was hard with few things! I almost had a tiny little clothes funeral at times...
