Sorry you are sick, hope you feel better soon. Being sick this time of year really adds to the whole long winter blahs.

**** on the second cold! Many of my fellow nurses take "Emergen-C" and or "Cold FX" daily. Not sure if you have those in the USA or the equivalent. But you need to 1. Take a daily preventative, 2. GET MORE SLEEP, 3. liquids like its your job, 4. Repeat 1, 2, & 3.

Feel better beautiful

I've been taking Emergen C for a few months--ever since Hala recommended it as a source of electrolytes :) I think I just ran myself down with an already lowered immune system and too many work days. I'm home early and resting now :)

Good Morning DD and everyone!

We were getting freezing rain last night which made it slippery taking the fur babies out. Warmed over night but the caked snow has turned into ice so still slippery this morning. My fur babies kept hearing snow and ice sliding off the roof during the night and kept freaking them out.

Accountability: on plan yesterday and lost another pound this morning.

Menu:

B: egg, cheese and ham scramble

L: 4oz. fajita beef and 2 slices 2% cheese melted over top

D:4oz. marinated chicken breast again with maybe a veggie

qotd: Retired due to health issues so I don't have to deal with schedules...mine or others.

Pilates this morning on my machine with rebounder also.

I love to see before and after pics and I will try and participate as I have before and after pic just have issues trying to post them. Will give it a shot.

Here is my trick for posting pics:

In the top right corner of the page, there is a pink plus sign. Click there and then "upload photo". That gets it uploaded to your personal page... Then to get it into the body of your post, you start your post, then "add photo" at the top of the post heading. Choose from what you've already uploaded and it will insert into the post.

If you're on your desktop computer, you can resize the pics by grabbing the corner and making it smaller. Can't do anything to resize from a device, but otherwise the process is the same.

Lets see your before & after!

Good morning Daisy and menu folks! It is rainy and warm here today, but I don't have to be out in it much so I don't mind.

We are back to work today, but I get to do telework, which is a nice way to ease back into things. I wasn't in as much tooth pain last night, but still rather sore so I may take a short nap at lunch.

QOTD: I only have coverage about 2 days a month so other than that I can take off pretty much whenever I want if I have leave. Even those days can be switched if I find someone who will trade.

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 oz ham, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal

Snack: turkey breast, blueberries

Lunch: chicken breast, baby carrots

Snack: protein shake

Dinner: salmon, cauliflower

Exercise: hour of swimming plus deep water aerobics

Good morning! Your opening reminded me that I need to put bacon on my shopping list. I need some Emiepie egg salad with bacon!

QOTD: I get 52 weeks of vacation now and only have to work around DH's schedule. Previously I had about 6 weeks to take (we could carry up to a maximum to the next year). I was lucky that I never worked with the public so I was always able to take vacation time when I wanted to.

1 year, 10 months post-op

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Emiepie egg salad with bacon (I just decided this after reading your greeting)

D: Grouper if I can find a good fish market.

S: yogurt
