Choking
I seem to choke a lot. I'm hoping it's because I just need to slow down and chew more, but I have had instances of webbing in my esophagus in the past when food would get stuck. I hope it's not a recurrence of that because the only therapy is to have an endoscopy. ?
I know that I need to slow down and chew (which is easier said than done in my chaotic house!) and I was wondering if anyone has any tips to help me remember to do that at meal times?
I remind myself, if I choke, I could die and then someone else will get to raise my children (I am dramatic like that). And then I slow down.

Eat mindfully. Don'****ch tv or multitask--make eating your only activity. Use a small utensil (I used pickle forks and iced tea spoons). And get into the habit of putting your fork down between bites.
Thank you JuniperBerry! They were some very helpful tips. I'm going to get myself some small utensils today, and I'll put them down between bites.
Chopsticks are helpful too

In addition to these ideas, I had to cut up all of my food in advance, before eating... into Teeny Tiny pieces... if I was at the table cutting it up, I'd get too excited about the food and not cut it up as small...
I still use my tiny forks sometimes... and almost always still use my little bowls/plates!
