Reactive hypoglycemia with dumping syndrome...yuck
Sort of. There's also idiopathic postprandial syndrome but I'll let you decide if that's your issue... or if that's even a real thing.
What you need to do is figurje out what causes these horrible symptoms and then just avoid them. Which is good. Because you probably shouldn't be eating those things anyway.
I cant have cereal. Which is good. Cereal is part of the reason I ended up in the OR in the first place.
Rh is pretty common, and starts to really hit a year or 2 after surgery. Not coincidentally, that's when people's food choices start trending back toward simple carbs.
Except for rare cases, RH is easily controlled with diet. Keto is a good solution for it.
Simple carbs got us to obesity. And through RH, they continue to bite us on the butt.

For me what Grim says is totally true ...100% every word,if I avoid carbs and sugar and fly right I never experience the RH only when eating wrong things. It is totally controllable for me just by not eating high sugar or too much carbs. I also would get the attacks from a cup of plain corn flakes. Never eat much cereal now.
9+years post op... You bet. All this time. I hate dumping but I hate hate the RH with passion. Like really hate it. And RH can be unpredictable.

I have developed full blown hypoglycemia, and I'm 10 years out. There is a statistic out there that so many of us who had this surgery develop hypoglycemia. I'm managing it with the hypoglycemia friendly foods and my surgeon's prescribed diet. Dumping syndrome is actually a good thing, because it reminds us that our tool is working, and we shouldn't be eating whatever it is that causes the dumping. If you do have dumping, I have found that hard peppermints or essential oil digize rubbed on the stomach can alleviate the symptoms.
