What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
and just like that, it's Sunday!
This morning I'll help my parents with putting away the last of the Xmas decorations.
Then, head back to the city, do some meal prep for the week, and laundry and house work
qotd: what chore do you hate the most? I mean I can't say I'm a big fan of any, but vacuuming and washing the floors is probably mine...dusting and windows are close in the running....
accountability: pretty good, carbs a bit higher, but nothing crazy.
menu:
B: coffee and premier
L/D: tbd on when I leave here and what I buy to prep for the week!
have a good day everyone!

Got laundry done yesterday so after church today I need to vacuum and clean out the frig. Li,y also needs a bath today--at least it's not as cold. It's already 46 here but still dark so Lily and I will wait til after lunch for our 4 mile walk. I will also do a mile on the treadmill after supper dishes are done.I think I wore her out yesterday so she has no interest in walking in the dark today. We probably did 6 miles yesterday all put together and she slept--and snored--all night. I didn't as the stress of hubby's upcoming surgery caused me to toss and turn. Accountability was great though--extra steps and no extra bites. I got out the knitting to keep my hands out of the snacks too. Post op 5 years 4.75 months and weight at 118.6 today. Heres the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 1 c chili with cheese D 31/2 oz baked pork chop 1/2 c green beans S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. QOTD least favorite task is cleaning the bathroom. Have a great day full of smart and conscious choices everyone. Now off to find some coffee!
Karen, I am so sorry that hubby's surgery is so difficult. Some people are not good patients and make things difficult for their caregivers. I can relate! Sending you thoughts of peace as you walk through the process.
Also keep up as much walking as you can. It always helps me to work off the stress!

Good morning! We are having friends over for the football games today and also hoping for warm sunny weather (it didn't quite make it yesterday). I have a recipe for no-noodle lasagne which I'm going to try to make.
QOTD: I don't really like any house cleaning because it is a chore that never gets done. It is already getting dirty before it is even finished (LOL - similarly dishwashing and laundry). My least favorite would probably be cleaning the bathroom so DH always did that. He still does the grossest parts, but I have to fini**** up as he forgets some of it. But I could probably list all housecleaning chores as my least favorite things to do other than possibly decluttering (which I do all the time because I hate clutter in sight).

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: no-noodle lasagne (zucchini and eggplant noodles, pepper, mushrooms, cheese, turkey sausage)
S: cheese, nut thins and hummus

Good morning weekenders! Yesterday was a warm sunny day, but my mouth hurt so much from the dental work that I spent most of the day in bed rather than out enjoying it...boo hiss! It feels a little better this morning so I am hoping for a quick healing process.
QOTD: There isn't much cleaning that I like but the bathroom is pretty bad.
Menu:
Breakfast: 1/2 cup plain oatmeal, hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, blueberries, protein shake
Lunch/Dinner: depends on how my mouth is feeling by then. I plan to make some ham and lentil soup so I might have some of that.
Exercise: If I feel better, I will get in some swimming.

My husband had the same thing done and the first few days were rough, but clear sailing after that. No discomfort later when he got the actual tooth (but it was a long healing period as I recall).
