One month post (and some truthful TMI - beware!)
Exercise is great. But if you do strenuous exercise, it will absolutely slow weight loss. You'll still be burning fat, but retaining water. The scale won't budge. Many freak out, exercise harder, making the problem worse. So, exercise. But expect a stall.
Many people take Miralax everyday. Many permanently. Constipation, especially that first year, is nearly universal. Stay ahead of it.
Scars will disappear. A year or so from now you'll never find them. You'd need a magnifying glass to find mine, and I never put anything on them.
It's been over 5 years since surgery, and I still haven't had a period

Hm... My surgeon said that exercise will definitely help me lose the weight. I'm not planning on "strenuous" exercise. Just normal. Some weight training, walking, Zumba and yoga are in the plan.
So far, the stool softeners haven't been that great. I think I'll go back to Miralax for a while to see if that's better. It's good to know that I can take it everyday without issues.
Thanks for your comments about the scarring. I hope that mine go away in time. I'll try not to be too worried about the Scar Away strips. They're really expensive, so I'll just finish out my current box and be done with it rather than spending another $25 for a 2nd box (which I was going to do).
No period since surgery! Lol. You're lucky. ;-P
