This weekend? Well I have been working getting hired to teach English to students in Bejing online I need a regular job, but this can happen quickly. I need some money flowing the right direction. I had to video a 10 minute video of a class they gave you, which I passed by some miracle because it was a train wreck. I have been doing a crash course in teaching ESL this week...and while I passed the quiz am not ready for the Mock class. The Mock Class is a 25 minute class with an employee of the company pretending to be a student on the other side. You need props a colorful background and need to be Perky. Perky. ugh. You get two chances to pass the Mock class, and it needs to be completed and I need to sign the contract by Wednesday. Soooo I will be watching lots of videos and practicing all weekend. I am an overthinker at heart, so there's a balance between prep and just damn do it! The thing that tripped me up in my original demo, is when you are looking at yourself on the screen you are seeing yourself in mirror image. So if you move your hands to the right, the screen shows you moving them to the left.

QOTD: I plan on being here in some form or another. I know I need daily or almost daily support. I go to one local support group here and there are a few ladies that are 15 years out. They are wonderful. Normal weight. Are they up from their lowest? IDK but not overweight.

B: Usual Latte, protein pancakes w/blueberries

L: salad w/roast beef, cheese, avocado

D; Spaghetti squash w/ meat sauce

Sounds interesting Cynthia, I am sure you will ace it and that you are not giving yourself enough credit...you got this.

When I was in China I was amazed that almost all of the companies I dealt with had representatives that spoke very good english, finally I asked and they all seemed to graduate University with a Business English degree, fascinating country.

"Interviewing" does sound stressful, but how cool is it that someone can teach and learn a foreign language online these days!

Good morning and happy Friday!

I had my very last clearance for surgery yesterday with my endocrinologist. I've already been approved through insurance, but the surgeon requires my a1c to be under 8. I was stressed big time about it, which was kind of silly as my a1c has been under 7 for at least the last year. I think I just have this doom complex where I keep expecting something to go wrong.

My weight was up big time, I don't even want to say how much but I'm actually back up to where I started at the beginning of this whole process. I haven't gone off the eating plan THAT drastically besides indulging a couple days over the holidays. Both my surgeon and endo said it's likely hormonal fluctuations from switching from the pill to an IUD last month, but I'm super upset about it and hoping it won't hinder post-surgery weight loss.

Qotd: I think I'll always be here reading and throwing my two cents in, but it's hard for me to say at this point. I feel like I never want to forget about being a WLS patient and that I need to make good choices, but I'm not sure I'll always want to post my menus.

Breakfast: protein shake

snack: Greek L&F

lunch: spinach salad with 2 oz diced chicken breast

dinner: a group of us are going out for sushi for my moms birthday!

in honor of her birthday I wanted to post a before and after of HER because I'm super proud of her for mostly maintaining 15 years out. But, that's her story to tell and she IS a member here although she doesn't post. Happy Birthday, mama! Instead, I'll post a pic I took of myself. It's not often that I see myself in a picture without makeup or hair done and think,"that's a pretty lady!" But I did for this one.
