Mornin' All!

I went over my calorie limit again yesterday - need to really focus on getting it back down or my weight is going to start creeping up again. Not bad choices - just an extra snack (or two) that wasn't planned for and wasn't needed. FOCUS!!

QOTD: I'll still be around. I need to check in every day to keep myself focused. My weight and health has to be at the forefront of my mind, or I know I'll start slipping. This site keeps my mind where it needs to be!

I'm talking to a pre-op class today. I'm so glad they asked me back for this year's classes - I love doing this!

2 years 7 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt, homemade blackberry/blueberry sauce

MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake

L: I think I'll hit the gym after the pre-op class, so I may just have a protein bar

AS: raw veggies with Greek yogurt dip or peanut butter on celery sticks

D: pulled pork and salad

if I have enough calories left over and need it, then a L&F yogurt or piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie

Daisy that chili is making me hungry! Yum!

QOTD: I need to stay here. It's my support system, so 5 years from now if someone doesn't see me here, I hope they stalk me on Facebook and tell me to get my arse back over here . I really want to be a successful WLS patient, and to do that I need support. Ya'll are stuck with me!

Last night went OK, but not great. I ended up working later than planned, so when I left to go to the boxer kennel, I stopped and grabbed (first mistake) pork rinds, beef jerky, and a small thing of peanuts.... I don't think I ate too much of any one thing, but I didn't get in enough water after we left (usually there's water up there, and there was none last night), so there's that. But, overall, with what I could have done (any fast food around my office, or pizza) it wasn't too terrible.

B: P3 Protein pack (I realize these aren't optimal since the protein isn't as high as I would like, but I made a snap decision and thought that the grab and go might work for me this week, so I'm stubborn and I'll eat all of them I bought (damn sale!)

S: 1 ounce of beef jerky

L: P3 Protein pack

S: cheese stick if I need it (yesterday I didn't eat it)

D: Nothing pulled out, but I will throw something together when I get home

My pictures for today are of.... allow me to introduce our newest member of our family! Camree (Cam)! She was rescued by the Boxer rescue from a kill shelter in Norman, OK. She's not a Boxer, but the shelter called, and she was so young that the rescue took her anyway - she's an American Bulldog, and spent 6 months at the boxer rescue facility before we brought her home around Thanksgiving to foster. She's now a little over a year old, and probably the smartest dog I've ever owned. She is deaf, but seems to hear high pitched noises at times, and was very VERY hand shy (and still is at times). She's a mess, but learning quickly! We just love her!!!

Sissy isn't 100% on board, but Cam is trying realllllllly hard to be her friend (she's just so big and rambunctious that Sissy gets scared of her sometimes)

And she watches TV more than any other dog I've ever met! We are working with her on this one because she feels the need to protect us from EVERY ANIMAL that shows up on the TV!

But mostly she's a big baby and doesn't seem to realize she's not exactly a lap dog!

How cute!! My family had a Great Dane named Gunther that loved TV, and barked at all the animals that came on the screen. He'd even keep looking BEHIND the TV if they ran off screen, thinking they went back there. Very amusing to watch his puzzlement that they weren't back there.

That's hilarious! She will pace around once the animals leave the screen... I'm guessing she's looking for them as well

What an adorable dog! I love that she has to protect you from every animal that shows up in tv! Did you know that many white dogs are deaf?
