Bloodwork results
Hi all! I had my bloodwork done and am amazed at the results 10 years out. I am very deficient in magnesium, vitamin C, mostly all Bs, D, iodine and some others I don't recall now. I am also very high on aluminum (doctor recommended I switch over to an aluminum free deodorant). I went to a holistic doctor who wants to find the root of my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Have you seen these results in your bloodwork?

Severe vitamin deficiency can probably cause chronic pain and fatigue; it can make you very sick and seriously endanger your health. I'm not at all amazed that you're having health problems.
You need to start taking your supplements ASAP. If your iron is low, you should find a hematologist. If you can still reach the surgeon who performed your RNY, that would be a good resource.

SIBO can be linked to Fibromyalgia, CFS, food allergies, etc etc...
google SIBO.
Someone who has RNY - our acid production is very low - if any, and we may be prone to SIBO. I know I have it. If I keep my diet very clean - no grains - I have much less body and joints pain and inflammation. Even a small (relatively) serving of grains can set me up for up to a week or more pain and inflammation.

What exactly was your B12 and ferritin? What, and how often do you take for supplements.
You should have a DEXA bone scan soon, too.

Hi all,
I have never stopped taking my vitamins since surgery. I take a multi-vitamin, D3, B12, & C. I've had a few iron infusions done by my hemotologists and everything is good there. Those levels are great! I was told not to take oral iron as I do not absorb it at all.
My doctor checked for SIBO and it came back negative.
I do have a copy of my results. Will continue on a regimen to get these numbers back to normal.
