well last night's dessert potluck was somewhat of a disaster. I didn't go hog wild, as we used to say in the South, but....way too many tastes of everything. I was way over on calories for the day. Oddly, my weight was down to 145 this morning - haven't seen that since before Thanksgiving. Maybe I should eat more desserts (kidding - just kidding!!)

looking forward to the warm up in weather. Fortunately, no snow in the forecast here (which I know a lot of you are getting). I'm so glad this season is half over - or close to it, anyway!!

QOTD: I drink two regular coffees and two decafs most mornings, but I only count the decafs. I also drink 64 oz of Crystal Light most days. At night I'll often have another 32 oz of Crystal light, or 2 cups of Crio Bru or (hot) herbal tea. I log it all in my tracker.

2 years 7 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt, fresh raspberries

S: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake

L: 1 C chili with 2 T grated cheese

AS: either celery sticks with peanut butter or raw veggies with Greek yogurt dip

D: pulled pork and salad

if I have any calories left over and am hungry this evening, then a F&L yogurt or a piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie

Good morning everyone! 17 right now but supposed to be 24 by noon--a heat wave --and 50 by Saturday. Lily and I will do our 4 milewalk after lunch today like we did yesterday. Hopefully we won't have to bundle quite so much! I'll also do a mile on the treadmill after supper.QOTD I get 120 ounces of liquids in most days. I usually have 1 regular cup of coffee,2 or 3 decaf coffees, and then the rest are crystal light at room temperature. On cold days I often add in hot herbal tea. Accountability was good yesterday and weight was 118.4 at 5 years 4.75 months out from surgery. Heres the plan for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanutbutter L 1 c creamy chicken soup with veggies D 31/2 oz chili cheese hot dog no bun 1/2 c green beans S sardines in mustard sauce for something different. Have a great day everyone and choose to make no excuses and to care for yourself the way you deserve! Later!

Yes and with all the interesting flavors now,it's almost a treat. I have a big box of assorted flavors and I reach in and pull one out. They have all been great flavors and I like the surprise of finding which one I picked this time.

I realized that I didn't answer the entire QOTD. I usually drink between 100-130 oz of fluids a day between the coffee, tea, water and PowerAde Zero. I have found that 64 oz just isn't enough to keep me working properly. Some of that is the exercise, even though alot of it is in the water, but it keeps my bowels moving and the weight stable.

Also I have to admit that I am only wanting to take in black coffee, blueberries and nuts. I am still eating dense protein and veggies, but only those three things are satisfying me right now. Not sure why, but I am trying to get my protein in anyway.

I have days where all I want to take in are Greek yogurt and protein shakes, so I can relate!

Good Thursday Morning Menu Peeps,

It snowed here yesterday and our roads are icy. The schools (and most businesses) are closed, so I'm teleworking from home today.

The shorter days have me feeling like a hibernating bear. My work commute both ways is driven in darkness ... c'mon and get here Spring!

QOTD: I have always been a thirsty person. Prior to surgery I drank buckets of ice water every day. Now I can no longer stand the taste of water and my "go to" drink is Crystal Lite peach tea. I have at least two cups of coffee every morning and peach tea throughout the day and evening. On cold nights, I'll split a tea pot full of decaf Chai Tea with DH.

Accountability: I had two handfuls of DH's dry roasted peanuts last night while watching TV. It was mindless eating, which my NUT has warned me against.

Menu:

L: Cottage cheese and coffee

L: Chicken and cheese roll up

S: Cheese stick

D: Left over zoodles with meat sauce

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good Morning and happy Friday-eve. We have been getting tons of misty-like fog but the sun came out for a little while yesterday afternoon which was great for my little 15 min walk in the afternoon.

Accountability: I stuck to plan. I did reduce my dinner to 1 of the egg clouds but had a handful of nuts so it balanced out in the end. The win was that I had a stressful day at work and didn't cave to anything extra last night.

QOTD: Mostly water (at least 132 oz) but I have a HUGE cup of coffee in the morning and sometimes a little unsweetened ice tea in the afternoon.

Time since surgery: 3 years 5 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Jerky, Carbmaster yogurt, and mixed nuts

D: Homemade sun-dried tomato/basil chicken sausage and cauliflower mashers topped with cheese and bacon crumbles

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with canned pumpkin and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: 6 miles ran this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1176 Protein:118 Carbs:70 Fat:51

Have a great one!
