Worried at age 65

Thank you for your comments. That is what I am hoping to achieve from this surgery. I believe the surgery will make the chances for me seeing my grandchildren grow up much more feasible. Doc

Thank you! That is my motivation exactly. Every once in a while self pity takes over, great to hear some optimism.

Hi,

I'm 63. I had my RNY at 62. 15 months later I'm the happiest 60's year old man alive!

I can only speak from my own experience but the only thing to fear is dying prematurely for unhealthy habits. I have no more chronic joint pain (my pain killers are bye bye), no more high cholesterol, no more high blood pressure, no more sleep apnea! I feel good!!
