No excuses!
All throughout my life ,even as a child,I made excuses. I blamed my overeating and weight problem on the strained relationship of my divorced parents. Then the excuse became the taunts of my classmates or my loneliness at college,or my dissatisfaction with my job or the stress of my son's health issues. In reality,my own choices were the cause. I chose to try to soothe myself with food even though it only made the problem and the poor self image worse. Post RNY I have chosen to make no excuses and to own up to my choices--both good and bad. Today I made the conscious choice to follow my food plan, measure my food before eating and bundle up like an Eskimo to walk in the 16 degree temp. Not a fashion statement in my mens L coveralls, but warm and more importantly healthy!
Stay warm Karen, you are awesome, you look tiny even in the big winter gear you are wearing.

And don't leave the house without something to wipe my nose with. That's like my new mantra. Feel like an old man with his handkerchief.
