Good morning,

I feel better today. I slept yesterday afternoon and warm liquids were better on my stomach. I woke up thirsty even though I had enough liquid yesterday but not as much that I usually drink.

Qotd Drew Scott from property brothers

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D crack chicken and riced cauliflower

Have a good day

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

It's so nice having you start us off in the mornings, Daisy! How are Oliver and Amy doing?

My Blossom and Tippy are at the groomer's today getting all pretty. The house feels so empty without them here. Saralisa is still waiting to hear about two internship she applied for in Washington D.C. I am trying to turn the outcome over to God and not to worry about it.

Still bitter cold here in Nebraska as I hear it is pretty much everywhere. I hope everyone is staying bundled up and warm in this weather!

QOTD: I can't think of any celebrity crushes that I have. I suppose you could say I sort of have a "crush" on one of Saralisa's good friends, Nathan. I had him picked out as the perfect guy for Saralisa, but alas, he has gotten engaged to a different girl. He is a very handsome boy and he is such a gentleman. I suppose my "secret" is that I like to watch the Disney channel shows with Saralisa. Most of them are about high school aged kids, but I still enjoy them and relate to the parents.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 90, Calories - 1,385, Carbs - 113.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: cheesy chicken

D: turkey meal

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking

Have a GREAT day everyone! Try to stay warm!

~ Karen

Morning All!

it was supposed to start warming up as of today, but it's still 7 degrees F - it has a L-O-N-G way to go...

not much on tap for today other than working and going to a meeting tonight that features a dessert potluck. I've got my Greek yogurt and fresh berries ready to go! I'll have to be careful today, though - the potluck doesn't start until 7:30, so I'll have to eat dinner or I'll be courting disaster by 7:30 - esp with a bunch of desserts staring me in the face. Yikes. So anyway, I won't have many calories left in my budget even for yogurt unless I really watch it the rest of the day...

Accountability: I was fine up until the evening. I went to a lecture last night at my vet clinic on stem cell therapy for pets, and they had this huge spread of food, wine, and beer. I was not expecting that - had I known, I would have skipped dinner. I did end up having a plate of raw veggies with a tablespoon of dip, plus some fruit (a couple of strawberries plus some cut-up cantaloupe, honeydew melon, and pineapple), so it could have been much worse - although I did go over my calorie budget by close to 100 kcal.

QOTD: no secret crushes, but I was devastated when the long-time morning host of our local NPR affiliate retired in September. I ran into her once in a yoga class and couldn't even make myself go up and talk to her because I was afraid I'd burst into tears! Luckily, her shows have been archived on their Website, so I still listen to them sometimes.

2 years 7 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with homemade blackberry/blueberry sauce

S: coffee with half & half

L: cottage cheese or chili (I'm working from home today - so not sure yet!)

D: pulled pork (??)

snack: trying not to to save calories - but if I have to have something to keep me from disaster late, then raw veggies with Greek yogurt dip or a piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie

Hi Daisy - I enjoy Cesar Milan as well, though have no****ched him in some time. Our Bethany can be quite Hyper! I am the Alpha and she listens and obeys my commands, I have recently thought about working more with her as she has some habits that I need to break. I am wondering if at 5 y/o I can change her behavior. ( she jumps on people when they come over and goes bonkers for about a minute).

Did you get Oliver and Amy at the same time?

Hi Menu friends,

I am in total hibernation mode, typing with only my fingers sticking out from the blanket. We had several super cold days in a row and I'm ready to go to sleep and wake up in spring, lol.

Today it warmed up to -15 C (5 F) so maybe I'll force myself to go for a walk. It's still freezing out there but not so bad that I can't breathe so long as I cover my face.

QOTD: The boys from Supernatural, Sam and Dean, Castiel; John (the Dad)...I even like Bobby, lol. it's a guilty pleasure, watching all the man candy fight monsters, lol.

I'm down 1.6 Lbs this week and thrilled with that, especially since I ran out of my water pills about 5 days ago and am retaining water. Trying hard to leave the 170's by my 1 year surgiversary on Feb. 1st. I don't normally make date related goals.

Menu:

Breakfast: 2 cups decaf with 1/4 cup premier protein in each. Greek yogurt with blueberries.

Lunch: either a 1 egg omelette with 2 slices bacon or a pepperette and a cheese string.

Supper: unsure. I want shrimp but will have to get my butt to the grocery store to buy it, so I may just thaw some chicken or beef instead.

Ex: Either a walk or the exercise bike, but feeling super lazy at the moment.

Pre-Op Visit: Jan. 10, 2017, weight 304, surgeon: Dr. David Lindsay, St. Joe's, Toronto

1st Day of (3 weeks worth of) Optifast: Jan. 11, 2017

Surgery Date: Feb. 1st, 2017
