Nothing Tastes as Good as Healthy Feels!
Good morning everyone!
My workout is done again- so excited about that. I have a modest step goal of only 6000 steps but it's a challenge in he winter for me to get to that as I tend to hibernate but I did make it yesterday and I will today as well. I am going to aim for 7000 today. I will just pay attention to the movement reminders on my Fitbit.
Accountability- I came home and was starving and of all things grabbed 2 crackers with peanut butter. This time has always been a challenge for me so I have to figure out a solution. I think I need to start bringing a healthy snack to the office to eat on my way home. And remind myself that hunger is not an emergency. No reflection in the scale though - I'm down 2.5 lbs - 164.1 this morning.
QOTD: I love Amazon too but I don't think I'd max out my credit card. Can I choose a travel agency? That's what I'd love to max out on. Other than that, right now we are in need of appliances so that's a possibility (Lowe's or Home Depot or a local store called Paddy's Market). Also, since our trip to PA I love Boscov's and could absolutely max out my card there.
Menu:
B: My ride showed up 20 mns early so I quickly threw my food together and breakfast is a protein bar.
L: Leftover pork tenderloin
D: Chicken but not sure how I'm cooking it yet.
Have an awesome day everyone- text or call someone you haven't talked to in a while and let then know you're thinking about them. :)

I think you are on the train like me - sometimes I grasp a latte or cappuccino to sip on the way home. There are about 4 different coffee places in Union Station now so lots of choice if you give yourself an extra 5 minutes.
I used to take the train but only as far as Eglinton. Then in July of last year my company moved to Markham so now I drive. I carpool with 2 others. We have a great cafeteria but I'm trying to be diligent about packing my food.

When I got home from work used to be a challenge for me too. When I had my 6 month pre-op supervised period, the NUT suggested a protein snack for the way home (cheese sticks, protein bar, etc). I found that it helped a lot and I still have a snack at the same time post-op to stop that late afternoon, pre-dinner craving.

do you have a fridge at work? I usually have celery and peanut butter in mine and occasionally raw vegetables with a dip made from Greek yogurt. Both are pretty filling and make decent late afternoon snacks. If I'm already a little heavy on calories, I'll go for the raw veggies & dip. Otherwise, a couple tablespoons of peanut butter on celery sticks holds me over for a L-O-N-G time!
