What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
Morning Everyone!
operation hibernation is a rousing success so far hahha! I did not leave the house yesterday. I helped my husband make a batch of beer, did some house work, cooking, and general puttering around the house. Today will be much the same, but I might venture out to Costco and an art supply store...maybe...
qotd: what are you watching / reading these days? Or what's next on your binge list? I might start Marvelous mrs. Maisel today. I watched the trailer yesterday and I think it might be up my alley! I'm also almost caught up on Life in Pieces. That show is hilarious!
My husband suggested going to see the post, but that involves leaving the house...
accountability: my carbs were higher yesterday, because I had some lentils in a soup, but a good day.
menu:
B: coffee and premier
L: probably more lentil sausage and kale soup
D: tbd on whether that trip to Costco happens...
have a good one!

LOL On leaving the house. I feel like that when it is super cold too!
QOTD: I'm reading Outlander. I started watching it at the recommendation of someone on OH, but decided I'd rather read it first. I have been watching Shameless on Netflix (almost done with all existing episodes), Catastrophe on Amazon Prime, and Victoria (season 1). How's that for a broad mix?

Up and moving early and getting ready for church. Frigid here again today and still dark so Lily and I will do our walk after lunch. Yesterday it was brisk but we did our whole 4 miles bundled up like Eskimos. I also did a mile on the treadmill after supper. Accountability was good as I pulled out my knitting and kept my hands busy. Post op 5years 4.5 months and weight at 118.6 today. QOTD I haven't been reading lately so I need to find something new. On TV I watch lots of shows on Animal Planet like The Vet Life and Dr Pol. I'm an impatient person and rarely sit through a whole show. Heres the food for today B 1/2 csteel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 4 oz deli turkey and cheese 3 baby carrots D 31/2 oz pork patty 1/2 c cauliflower S 5 ozcottage cheese with 1 T no sugar added strawberry jam. Mornin' All!
zero degrees F out there now - ugh. If I get motivated enough, I'll head over to the yoga studio later this morning for the meditation class. I want to go to Aqua Zumba later on this evening, too, but it's supposed to snow. Crap. I'll just keep an eye on it - maybe it won't be too bad until much later tonight. I hope. We have the day off tomorrow. Weird how the frigid temps seem to have only been during times I've been off work this winter (Christmas week, New Year's week, and now MLK weekend). Last week, of course, it was great (for Wisconsin, anyway) - in the 20s and 30s. While I was at work. Bah!
Accountability - it was fine up until we went to a movie last night ("Loving Vincent" - at our second-run, discount theatre). I ate some of DH's popcorn, then had a protein bar to stop myself from mawing on the popcorn (it did the trick). So it could have been worse, but still...
QOTD: I don'****ch TV at all. I'm currently reading "Dream Land: The True Tale of America's Opiate Epidemic". I'm not very far into it - maybe three or four chapters, but so far, so good.
2 years 7 months out:
B: Greek yogurt with added protein powder, raspberries
S: coffee with half & half
L: tuna/chickpea salad in a Flat Out wrap or Fold It
D: maybe ham/bean soup if I get around to making it today - otherwise, pulled pork
possible snack items (if needed and if I can stay under my 1500 kcal limit): another yogurt, raw veggies with Greek yogurt dip, a piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie
ex: hopefully Aqua Zumba if the weather holds out

Morning! I wish I could hibernate! I had to work yesterday morning but at least I was back home before the cold snap started. The temp dropped from 60 to 20 in a matter of a few hours. Today we are going to see The Post, though, which I am very excited about.
Accountability: Great on avoiding flour and sugar but I have been eating a lot of calories lately for some reason...
QOTD: You are going to LOVE Mrs. Maisel. I am excited for the new Project Runway All Stars but that is about the only new thing I am watching. I'm reading a few things at once--Fire and Fury, the Michael Wolff book and also a biography of Leonardo DaVinci, and the novel, A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. I'm also have some incredible posdcsts to recommend: Slow Burn abou****ergate, The Popes Long Con about that Kentucky legislator who committed suicide after being caught in a lot of lies, and By the Book, which is a hysterical week to week podcast by two women who follow self help book to the T every few weeks. I love it!
Not 1000% sure about the accuracy of this menu, because I'm not sure what we are doing after the movie. But if we are home for the rest of the day, it will look like this:
B: bacon
S: movie popcorn
L: crustless veggie quiche
S: turkey meatballs
D: Chicken tortilla soup
Morning RNY'ers! It under 20 degrees here which is my cutoff temp for running outside, so indoor workout it was for today. That's done and I'll try and take the dog out for a little longer than usual later. I tried making a protein hot chocolate, utter failure. So bad it clogged the sink. That powder is too pricey to experiment with.
Yesterday I was a lot somber. There was a big football game, and albeit I hate sports and wouldn'****ch, I wanted to celebrate with food, like everyone was. It was so hard to pass up the football shaped cookies and themed cupcakes, hoagies, dips etc. luckily yesterday was an odd day so I could have chips- but I wanted it ALL. I made it through but was obviously moody. I'm proud for making it through though.
I may run to target today. Otherwise laundry and lounging.
Qotd: currently watching blackish, which I'm very mixed in. It makes me chuckle, but annoys me more. I am looking for a series to watch after that is over.

Howdy!!
Way too cold here for me at 20 degrees in Roswell ga.
Yesterday was my son's birthday party. I did horrible with food. Went to the movies and ate some popcorn. Then 3 or 4 bites of mac and cheese with my salmon. A bit of oatmeal and two bites of his birthday cheesecake. I knew what I was doing and take full responsibilities for scale consequences. I am back on the wagon today.....!
QOTD: I have been watching a PBS show called Mercy Street about a civil war hospital in Virginia which is about nursing and doctoring as well as the political climate in America about slavery. I would have hated to live during that time for lots of reasons but I can't imagine how bad it was to get sick then before antibiotics and medical advances.
We also started watching Alias Grace which is visually and artistically very interesting about a woman convicted of double murders in 1842 Canada. Lots more there but you should check it out.
Breakfast
Coffee, half protein bar
Lunch: Most likely some of the leftover salmon
Snack afternoon the other half of the protein bar
Dinner: chicken thighs with a veggie
after dinner carbonator yogurt
Less than 800 calories and all vits, water etc...
