Good morning everyone! I've been MIA this week. It's been crazy busy at work and it was also my week to drive. Plus I've been working on building some clientele as a Pampered Chef consultant. I did my first livestream recipe video for my customers on Tuesday night! Today I'm working from home and the kids have a snow day- due to freezing rain. It's pouring buckets and the temps are dropping.
So today is my 1 year from surgery! So hard to believe. I keep going back to that day in my mind. The drive to the hospital, waiting, last minute change in surgeons and a 5 hour delay. I was so worried they were going to tell me I had to come back. Anyway I'm down to 162.6 and down 132 lbs. I can't believe how much better I feel. I still have about 25-28 lbs to go.
Menu:
B: Either scrambled eggs or Shakeology.
L: Kelly's egg salad
D: Making Sheet pan chicken for my recipe video tonight so that's what's for dinner.
Oh and another milestone in our family. Our youngest had high school orientation last night. Because of our move he would have to apply to stay at the school his siblings went to so we checked out the school in our home area. It is such an awesome place and he's decided he'd really like to go there. My husband's sisters went there almost 40 years ago. But it does seem strange he won't be going to the same high school as Tyler and Chelsie.
I haven't taken a 1 year progress pic yet but at this stage a few weeks doesn't really make much of a difference. I did a face to face comparison from a facebook memory the other day though.
Oops- forgot the QOTD- I didn't go to college. After high school I was working in a store and trying to figure out what to do. There was a job posting for a receptionist at an insurance brokerage. The day that I said I'd drop off my resume, we had a huge snowstorm. I was going to put it off but my dad told me if I went in I'd definitely get the job. I did and he was right. 25 years later I'm still working in insurance.
