I am late posting today. I have been super lazy this morning, and am having a hard time getting going. I need to go tile shopping today. Fun, but so many choices!

the picture below is of the tub I chose yesterday. It's so pretty!

Awesome car Julia. Kias are super sharp these days.

Accountability: Pretty good. For lunch I went to. Vietnamese restaurant. I had an appetizer portion of coconut curry mussels. They were served on the 1/2 shell with the curry sauce drizzled over. It was amazing! My friend and I also split a shrimp and pork salad roll. So, not bad overall and it fit into my macros.

QOTD: early in my career, I had someone tell me "never fall in love with a company. She will break your heart." I have always remembered that advice, and it has saved me a lot of broken hearts over the years.

3 years post-op:

B: rosemary toast, whipped cream cheese, smoked salmon and tomato

S: Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts with melted raclette cheese, 2 squares of dark chocolate (oops!)

L: beef barley soup with sautéed mushrooms added

S: Kelly's egg salad

D: spaghetti squash, 3 turkey meatballs, tomato sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese

Total: calories 918, carbs 68 (boo!), protein 68 (boo!)

Have a great day!

re: tile shopping - I've had to hire interior designers the three times we've had rooms remodeled. Even when the designer gives me 3-5 choices and says any of them would like fine, I can't decide. Going to someplace on my own and facing dozens of choices would probably give me PTSD!!!

Love the tub, btw!

Good advice! I was probably "in love" with my former company and yes they did break my heart!

Lovely new car, JB! I too am about due for one.

Today is my 7 month surgiversary. This was a good month which brought a 13 pound loss - I am down 114.8 pounds since I started my 2-week pre-op liver-shrinking diet. Still quite a bit to go, but it's all encouraging. I'm still not entirely settled on what my goal should be. I'm 64 and 5.8" ( I used to be taller!). I'm really not naturally an ectomorph (duh!). Anyway, I guess it's ok to leave it a little up in the air for now. I would like to be under 150 lbs, just how far under is the question. I guess I'll see when I get there! Hoping not to look too haggard.

QOTD: I took my baby to the East coast from South Pasadena, where we lived with my then husband, for a nice long visit with my mom. My marriage had been very difficult since it's start 4 years previously, and I was seriously contemplating divorce. I recall sitting in the kitchen with my mom and asking her if I should get a divorce. She gave me a stricken look, then said "I can't tell you what to do, and it would be wrong of me to do so. But I will tell you that if and when the time comes, you will know it, and you will know what to do". She was right, and i have always appreciated her wisdom, discretion and understanding of my nature. in the years since, I have encountered many people who either have or are themselves mothers who do not hesitate to give highly opinionated advice, often with subtle or not-so-subt!e pressure, to their daughters, advice which may or may not actually be in their daughter's best interests. I am really grateful that my mom restrained herself from opining even though she definitely had an opinion about my ex, and yet always supported me with enormous love. And of course she was right: I finally did figure out what I had to do.

First: Tea With cashew milk, protein drinkm

B: Turkey, cheddar

L: BBQ pulled chicken

D: roast beef with a few mushrooms

Tons of tea!

Wishing everyone a happy day!
