Happy Friday, menu crew! I can't remember having such a crazy week! Is my job always like this? Or I have forgotten after having so much time off? I honestly don't remember anymore... haha. Anyway, yesterday had every type of emergency you can imagine a school having. I was so full of adrenaline all day that I just came home and crashed at about 7:30pm last night.

Quick question for everyone. I woke up a few times with some pain, overnight. It's a sharp pain in my lower right back. Kidneys, right? Should I call my doctor or is occasional pain there, normal? I will drink drink drink all day and hopefully whatever it is will go away!

My photos are the long awaited pics of my pretty new car amongst the dirty, receding snow piles in South Boston yesterday! I love the car, so far. The Apple Car Play feature is great, and I love driving a hybrid. Yay!

Accountability: I added a little extra cheese to my chicken enchilada, plus a few pork rinds, and a big spoonful of peanut butter before bed. It doesn't sound like much, but it added a few HUNDRED extra calories by the time the day was over and my calories were just over 1300 for the day (which is a lot for me). I am still down a few ounces overnight, thankfully.

QOTD:Did you ever get any really good advice from a parent or mentor? I hated my freshman year of college. I took a working internship that I loved and I stayed on at that place for a year before I realized that I had sort of accidentally dropped out of college. I was doing great at my job and everyone treated me so well, so I thought I was a rockstar. In the back of my mind I wasn't sure I would go back to college. But my mom pulled me aside and reminded me that I looked really young for my age, so people saw this tiny little young prodigy in the workforce. But pretty soon, I wouldn't be young or cute anymore, and would need an education to back up my hard work. It was really hard to hear at the time, but it helped me kick my ass in gear and transfer to the right college. I've never forgotten it.

Good morning! SURGERY ON FEB 15!! I still need to get the time off approved by work so I'm hoping I don't need to reschedule.

JB I think pain in the lower back could be anything from kidneys to just a strained muscle or sleeping in a funny position? Really hard to say...drink plenty!

QotD: I can't recall any specific advice, except my mom was always stressing to me to have a backup plan. I realize now she was trying to politely discourage me from trying to make it as a pop singer when I was 13 and in love with the Backstreet Boys. It's been good advice though, I do tend to make backup plans for many things, and I can't sing well anyway!

Breakfast: protein shake, loads of coffee with sugar free creamer

lunch: summer sausage, cheese cubes, leftover green beans

snack: Greek L&F

dinner: depends what I pick up at the store, but soup sounds good. Maybe I'll pick up things for zuppa Italiana.

i got nothing for photo Friday today!

Congrats on getting your surgery date! I am excited for you :)

You must be younger than me--I wanted to go on tour with NKOTB!

I stakes out the hotel NKOTB was staying at when they were in Toronto. I snuck in, and got all the way up to their floor where I was turned away by a security guard. But I did catch a glimpse of Jordan in the hall so it was worth it. Lol.

Lol I was a big fan of them too!! I didn't see them live but Jordan Knight came to my town after his solo album was released and he performed his one hit, then performed NKOTB songs the rest of the time. He performed...at the local bowling alley. It was actually a bit depressing. But I hear they are touring again!

Saw them last year. They were touring with Boyz II Men and Paula Abdul and me and Em went.
