Syntrax Nectar "recipes" and/or tips?
Looking for new protein powder. Noticed people really like Syntrax Nectar. I checked out Amazon, as I have Prime...and the reviews were pretty favorable for the most part. Of course, we all have our likes and dislikes.
Question: How do YOU prepare the pp? Any tips, hacks, recipes? I "think" I heard people mix it with Crystal Light? I have one of those Magic Bullets, but prefer an easier approach. Though not against using it.
I'm going to order the variety pack of all 15 flavors so I can make a more educated choice. I'm never going to enjoy pp, but I'd at least like to stomach it so I'm more apt to drink it more often.
Walmart is very close to me, do they have it there? Or at the Vitamin Shoppe?
Thanks in advance!

A member here (NYMom222) created an amazing recipe using the Syntax Nectar Fuzzy Navel. Mix it with plain Keifer (liquid yogurt) and a little artificial sweetener to taste, and it tastes just like an Orange Julius. Delicious and very filling!

and some vanilla extract!
I also like the fuzzy navel over-diluited in water with some extra sweetener. Tastes like orangeade.
I find whatever brand of plain kefir they carry in trader Joe's has really good stats 100 calories a cup.

I love that Kefir recipe. I'm going to try that too. I like Kefir.
I will use some diet Lipton tea mix in with the Lemon Tea flavor. I like that flavor, but love it punched up with more tea taste. I get the unsweetened version since the protein is sweet enough to handle it. I will occasionally mix one of the strong fruit flavors into regular plain yogurt to pick up the protein and make a different taste. I mix to taste when I do that. Usually 1/2 to 2/3rds of a scoop into about 6 oz of yogurt makes a good taste.
Tip: I do find a couple of the fruit flavored Syntrax to be a little sweet. What I do for those is mix in some unflavored Syntrax into the Jar. I have enough containers that I'll split a new one into two and then add in two cups of the unflavored medical Syntrax into each. Works well for me. I do it for Strawberry and Peach (Fuzzy Navel). Thought I might try some of the unmixed with the fuzzy navel recipe (I have an unopened bottle I ordered recently during a sale). Also if you are going to drink it regularly sign up for emails from the Bariatric product sites. They offer sales throughout the year. I will stock up on my Syntrax whenever they offer 15% off. Then I order enough to trigger free shipping. That way I end up paying $34 vs. $40 bucks. Not a huge savings, but that's when I order my calcium and other protein laced products. So it adds up.
Oh and I just use a shaker bottle for most of my mixing. Just do a mix and then let it sit for a few minutes. Do that again and wait. Usually it gets rid of any or most of the clumps. Occasionally I'll fire up the Vitamix, but only if I'm mixing in stuff like frozen fruit (I don't do that very often). Though during the holiday I do like to take the Vanilla Syntrax and through in 3 or 4 SF Peppermint candies. Very festive and refreshing.

My Walmart doesn't carry Syntrax, but the Vitamin Shoppe does, I think-- but only the jumbo tubs. Definitely wait to get one of those until you have a flavor you KNOW you like!
I do mix mine with crystal light. I think I get the fuzzy navel nectar, and mix it with either orange or grapefruit Crystal Light. You don't get as much protein that way, but you can usually dilute it well enough to use in place of Gatorade. I sometimes put it in my water bottle for when I go biking!
Your Vitamin Shoppe may have Isopure, which is similar to the nectar. They sell it pre-mixed and you can sometimes find it in the cooler. It's a bit more expensive, but another option to try for sure.

Walmart doesn't carry it nor have I seen it at any other grocery. Vitamin shoppe does carry it but the flavor variety is often not good, they only carry a couple, usually.
directions on the tub say mix with a fork and that is what I have done. I found out it makes a lot of foam when mixed no matter which way you mix it.
If you mix it and let it sit a bit with no top on it ,the foam will dissipate and you will have a better drink. I also have to mix it with crystal lite of any other enhancer like that. I have also mixed up a scoop with a small amount of water and the enhancer,in a 32 oz drink bottle, then fill the bottle on up with water. Let it sit with the top off and then drink it. This gets my protein and 64 oz of liquid at a time.
This way,the taste of the powder is more weak. There will be a slight taste, cause,it is whey and whey has a yeasty taste and not much covers it. I got used to it and was eventually able to put two scoops of powder in a 32 ox bottle with no problem.
