HELP!!! I haven't lost an ounce in a week. Where am I going wrong?
I am trying to lose 16lbs of regain and have cut out as many carbs from my diet. The first week of back-to-basics, I lost 5.5lbs. This week, although I have continued with the same type of diet, my weight is stuck. I am wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if there is anything I need to change.
This is a sample of what I ate yesterday:

Doing rwally low carb, the initial loss is all water, from using up glycogen stores. It's more or less the same reason we get a three week stall after surgery.
You're doing fine. Just stick with it. Average out the loss over the whole interval, and you'll see how well you're doing.

First, that weight you lost was more than likely water weight. Also if you were at your goal weight before you regained, your loss will go much slower. Most people normally loose weight at about 1/2 - 1 lb a week and that is if they are eating at a calorie deficit. Your body can also be in the middle of adjusting to your new diet you put yourself on. Give it time, as long as your eating at a calorie deficit you will loose. Also perhaps upping your liquid intake would assist.
I know some people need light exorcise to assist with loosing regain. Some don't but it never hurts to get in some extra walking :)
Thanks! I get impatient and want to see it drop like in the beginning. Lol. I just needed to be reminded that I was on the right track - and another set of eyes to review my calorie intake to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. Again, thanks for your words. I definitely need to work on drinking more water. :)

Thanks! I normally only have a protein shake for breakfast but yesterday I wasn't home for dinner so I had to carry a single serve protein powder packet in my purse. I like to eat. :)

Whoa there!
You're ten years out. It won't fly off this time.
I think that's why veterans are perceived as being hard on first year post ops. We only get it once and it's magic.
Think long game. I'll bet your regain will be gone by next year. You can figure out the food to get you there.
I'd ditch the protein shakes but I've always thought they were vile.
Thank you. Sometimes I need to be smacked with reality. Lol. I do miss those first glorious months of "magic". I'm pretty impatient.....however, I just wanted another set of eyes to look over what I was eating in case I was doing something wrong. I may have forgotten a thing or two of the rules. ;)
I have protein shakes for breakfast everyday because I really HATE eggs and can't think of anything that would give me enough protein to start off my day. I kinda like the shakes, too.
