Howdy,

Getting really close to my goal! Technically would still be overweight for a woman of 5 foot 6 inches but I would be less than half my starting weight when I get there. 9 lbs to go!!!!! Then I will decide if I want to lose more as a buffer. Not sure I would like to weigh 145-150. I have the Puerto Rican Italian gene pool and I would look like a Sharpei (kinda already do....:) )

We have the same starting weight, and I'm only one inch taller. I arbitrarily have 150 as my goal, but I'm very willing to go based on how I feel as I get closer. I also want to have a buffer because I plan on getting pregnant after a while and expect some gain.

Youve done so great!

Hi ,

Since I am post menopausal and babies not in the picture anymore, I just want to get to a weight with a buffer that I can live with into old age!!

I have been maintaining at 165 at 5'11", I am 59 and post menopausal. I consider anything in the 160's fine so I always say +/-165. I did gain a little in the last few months and am in the low 170's but working my way back.

I say all that because maintenance will never be a perfect number. There are a few people on here who meticulously stay within 2-3lbs, but most of us fluctuate.

It's really hard to know what's s good weight so 2 things I did- In the end I said I'd take it 5 lbs at a time and see how I felt. 2nd J went for a Dexascan to see what my bodyfat was. Sometimes the loose skin lies to us and we don't have a much fat as we think.

Personally I thought the metabolism testing was helpful as well.... not that I could eat as much as they said, but I could eat more than I thought in maintenance.
