Hey there!

Accountability: I had an appointment with my doctor this morning and she was very pleased with our results. (My husband and I had bypass on the 26th together... he was right after me.) She moved us to very soft foods. I was so happy because protein shakes make me want to puke. I am following her directions and being accountable.

QOTD: Although I am a newbie to rny I am not a newbie to OH. In January of 2006 I looked into wls and that April I had a lapband placed. The band worked well for me. I lost nearly 90 pounds. But ten years later I developed severe acid reflux and my new doctor said it had to come out because reflux could lead to a whole host of other problems. In August of 2017 the band was removed and in December of 2017 I had rny.

B: Protein shake

L: about 4 ounces of soup

D: tuna salad

S: yogurt and maybe another shake

I know I am low on the protein but it is getting better every day.

E: 2 miles walk with the dog

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Man, I already feel so much better and it has only been a couple of days. Stupid Christmas cookies! I hid all of those bad snacks on the teenagers, too. I have to stand on something to even see them and that is after I move everything from the top shelf to get them out. By the time I do all of that surely I will be able to resist. LOL.

Same exercise stuff as yesterday and will happen tomorrow, too. Run 4 and 1/2 miles and an hour of light weight training and body weight exercises.

I wanted my surgery for a year but had no insurance. As soon as I selected my insurance I made my appt with my new primary and asked the primary for a referal on the same appointment. I made sure of what my insurance would cover and how and started the 6 month diet with my primary while waiting for my first appt with my surgeon. I had everything accomplished in 6 months from my first appointment with my new primary. I waited 2 more months only because I knew it would be Christmas and people would be around to help if I needed it. The surgeons office told me they had never had an approval come back so fast. I believe it was because I kept in constant contact with insurance myself and my surgeon's office is stellar!

Good evening! Had to drop by to let you guys know I'm still here. It's my week to drive and it's been a super busy week at work so I haven't been getting on here like I should be.

I started Ted thinking about WLS when I was pregnant with Owen. And then convinced myself for 11 years that I just had to be more disciplined and I would lose the weight. I talked to my family dr in Feb 2016 and had surgery on Jan 12, 2017. Hard to believe it's been a year!

I will be back tomorrow posting my menu. Have a great evening everyone!!

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!
