Snacking on pistachios, cashews and peanuts.
I had my surgery a month after you and I haven't had any nuts yet. Not even sure when they'll let me add them. Mostly eating chicken, some pork, cheese, and cooked zucchini or tomatoes here and there. My stocking had a coloring book/pencils, sugar free applesauce and peach cups lol.
the applesauce and peaches should really be avoided as well. Fruit is pure sugar and if you give your body pure sugar to burn for energy it will not burn as many stored fat calories for energy
,reducing your loss.
Both are unsweetened and at that time I was told to use them as a vehicle for my ursidiol. I can swallow the capsules now but at that time I was unable to.
unsweetenedmeans it has no ADDED sugar. All fruits have natural sugar and the body doesn't know the difference in sugar from fruit and sugar from a snickers bar.
Many plans call for apples sauce for medicines, it it is still sugar. You could have taken your urosidol in a spoon full of something with no sugar.
Last week I tried nuts. Had some pistachios. 15 minutes later my tummy was killing me. Two days later I tried roasted salted almonds. Same thing. No issues with PB2, powdered peanut butter minus the fat. Although I use unsweetened almond milk in my coffee and tea without an issue. I'm a year out of my RNY.
I do enjoy sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello, but they have SA and if I have too much, I get tummy troubles.
I just started using my new Instant Pot. Made extremely easy to peel hard boiled eggs in a flash. Chicken took five minutes. I'm in heaven.

I love pistachios and keep a few frozen very high quality fresh ones in my freezer in case of a " snack attack " . ( My friends call me a food hoarder cuz there isn't a free inch of space in two sub-zero freezers ) .
I also like you enjoy almonds ( marzipan! ) cashews ( in Chinese savory dishes ) even lite peanut butter particularly in recipes like Satays , Thai peanut salad dressing and meat dip.
I find that using a small amount of high quality fresh nuts in recipes gives me the taste and a bit of essential fats while not hurting my ( low) weight maintenance , high energy levels or my clothing sizes. In cold weather I crave nuts, stews, and other comfort foods . I just find delicious but much lower fat ways to incorporate them.

Marzipan is WAY too high in sugar/carb to enjoy during the weight-loss phase.
